    I'd add Lennon Barcelona year to that too and to an extent his Lazio year altho that was the Copenhagen year too.

    What do lennon team and Strachans team have in common?

    A proper defensive midfielder and a top quality goalkeeper. Strachan had Lennon and Boruc. Lennon had Wanyama and Forster.

    Currently we have neither and until we address both issues and in particular the defensive midfielder 1 we will continue to be far too wide open and exposed like we were the last 3 years.

    I’m fearing Europe this season.

    We are weaker than last season and all the glaring weaknesses that has been pointed out haven’t been addressed.

    Could end up an embarrassment.

    If this is the team we have for europe I'd take the 24 of the thread title haha.
    I hope we do get 3 quality signings in as in gk and lw and lb to maybe scrape into the europa so we'll see.

    Which is why I'm still optimistic we will make couple of big moves before window shuts.....not as confident as I was a month ago right enough.

    Rodgers hasn't come back here to just win domestic trophies, he's already done that and there no way he's back to be embarrassed in europe again. So he's not gonna go into europe with our squad as it is currently.

    I just wish they'd get a * move on with it

    Even if we spend £40m from now until the window closes I still think we'd need to buy a goat farm and sacrifice the full farm to do anything in the champions league. Hoping for 3rd tbh but that depends on the draw.
