Celtic FC vs Udinese FC

I hope we can generate a typical European atmosphere.

 

I can't remember the last time a big decision went our way in a crucial game, surely, surely our luck has to change? Early Red card for them, pena, that's all we need!

If Udinese really turn it on, I do fear that our already depressing repuation at Celtic Park could take another hammer blow.

I'm praying it will be 3-2!

Unfortunately, I can see it being 2-0 to them, Loovens or Maj will give away a stupid penatly.

that defence is terrifying, but its the best we can do....

not optimistic at all but i think theres money to be made in this game with Di Natalie 1st goal...we may as well just enjoy it while we're there!

The defence will most likely stay the same with the exception of Mulgrew coming in, back from his suspension. I think our defence was extremely shaky against a team like Inverness, sitting at the bottonm of the table. Thats what worries me. At times I had no idea how we kept a clean sheet, but of course we'll always keep that. Now a Serie A team like Udinese could cause us serious problems. I think this game may reveal some major flaws in our back four, which of course isn't our choice lineup, but its all we have. But maybe this game will surprise everyone and we'll hang the zebrette to dry. Mon the hoops.

 

My blind optimism has fizzled out. Not a good feeling about this.

 

I think we'll win 2-1. I have a feeling Hooper and Sammy will score.

Thursday will be my first time in Scotland, and obviously my first time at Celtic Park. Here's hoping that I'm bringing some good luck with me.

I hope Udinese are content to sit back and let us come at them,then we may get a result if we take our chances.

I just hope they were not watching the Rankers game,then they will know we are there for the taking

 

If we go with Maj or Loovens we may as well go out before the game and plant a couple of scarecrows in they're place. If ICT can take us apart at the back...what the * will a top Serie A side do?? Its murder cos middle to front we have players more than capable of doing damage (apart from Samaras) only for the defence to let them down. I think the only way we can beat Udinese, with our defence, is to go for it and just try and score more goals than them!

Dunno if it's been mentioned but they drew yesterday with Cagliari 0-0 away

According to Fox news, Cagliari had the better of them, albeit they are now unbeaten in four La Liga games.

 

Yeah they're joint top with Juve.

 

Serie A

 

Aye, but they have beaten Fiorentina 2-0 and drew 1-1 against AC Milan at the San Siro this season! Just hope they have an off day on Thursday!

I'm not sure how to approach this game, i think Lennon has a tough decision to make with the team selection, this is how i would line up

I put Bangura in as Hooper has been off the boil of late despite a goal at the snakepit and i've been impressed by Bangura's energy and vision so far, think this could be a good night for him to get off the mark.

Would want the team to be relatively rigid for the first 20 mins but then open up a little with Paddy linking up with the two wide men and Bangura.

Also a trip to Hearts comes after this, a must win.
