Depends on when the season gets finished. If they announce in the next month then I expect it to be the same

Under these circumstances I think it would make much more sense for these payouts to be divided up a bit more evenly across the leagues, lets be honest relative to our expenditure and cash in the bank 400k isn't going to make or break us anytime soon, but divided up would be a massive boost to some of the smaller teams that are at real risk of going under.

    I co
    I completely disagree.

Celtic owe the rest of Scottish football nothing.

You would have to think there will have to be some kind of adjustments made for sure to this summers transfer window and maybe even to the next winter one as well. Although I imagine there will be a lot less buying and selling then is normal this year.

Some truth to this. Celtic have helped clubs by giving them money for players, loaning players at little to no cost to clubs, away attendances and helping people keep an eye on the Scottish game. I think half these clubs would have gone * up years ago without us

We fund those clubs by our away fans going to fill their empty stadiums. Then you get the Sheep bleating about being skint. Well maybe if they gave more tickets to the away fans they wouldn't have a problem. The last game we got 1600 tickets. In a stadium that holds 21k the attendance that day was under 15k, 6k under capacity. That's 180k of money lost due to ignorance and stupidity. That's why the Sheep will never learn or get back to filling their stadium

If teams ain’t selling out their stadiums and there is demand there from away fans then I think that they are daft not to increase the away allocation.

I agree, maybe sevco could agree as well. Or did you count them in the “at real risk” category?:34:

Just for clarity Marty. I believe that only (so far )applies to tiers 3 n below in the Non-league pyramid. Ie no the conf or Conference North and South. Although there won't be relegation from the Northern and Southern leagues I guess as there will be nobody to replace these teams.

If they force a cancellation through then they will be the ones liable for any sponsorships wanting their money back. UEFA will never go down that route

I struggle with the line if we cant finish by.... then we need to bin it so we dont * up next season.

If this season cant start till January 2025 so be it...then we sort out the dates for the following season as sensibly as possible with not a jot of consideration given to tv schedules and euro fixtures

We have started so we must finish.

They seem to keep pushing back potential dates for starting back up all the time.

Leagues are going to finish. Worst case scenario for them is behind closed doors but its going to happen.

Seems to me Ceferin only cares about UEFA tournaments hence why he’s threatening that leagues need to be ‘finished’ by July.

In other words, he’s trying to rule out clubs extending leagues. He wants to know who will be in CL and UL next season.

His statements so far have been a riot. He should be removed from his position.

Edit: To be fair, he does also say,

"There is also the possibility of starting again at the beginning of the next [season], starting the following one later. We will see the best solution for leagues and clubs."

So he is basically saying ‘ending’ the leagues is an empty threat.
