    Portugal's top league to be allowed to restart behind closed doors on May 30th with government backing!

    Didn't see that coming. Here's hoping hesgoal is still up and running! Will depend no how other restrictions fair I would assume so might not come to pass if it all goes * up again.

    It will depend really on when a vaccine and or treatment is available. I don't see that happening for all or most of next season at the least. But certainly if neither is available come the summer of 2021 we are staring down the barrel heading into what would be the 21-22 season.

    On Sky i think it was England manager said EPL should not be played behind closed doors. He mentioned that it would take at least 240 medical staff away from COVID-19 fight and he cant condone that. Said EPL should be declared finished now.

    If the season can’t resume (which it won’t) does there need to be another vote passed by the SPFL to finish the prem on current standings?

    When the resolution was set out I’m sure it said in the letter “If premiership games can not be played this will be be settled on same basis” or something along them lines.

    Votes passed so surely they can’t go back on it and start * about and looking at other options. Unless another vote is needed. Never quite understood that part of it all.

    I think they just need to get agreement from Govt and UEFA to declare as over then agree a date with the other SPL clubs.

    The big problem that is * every league is the greedy tv companies. They are holding clubs and FAs to ransom. The governments have to step in to prevent clubs going under having to pay compensation to them.

    The precedent was set from the vote to end the lower leagues, they are basically waiting to see if the season can be finished. The BBC are * guessing given that the football authorities called time on games before Government or UEFA instruction.
