Is Letsoto the boy Rodgers was trying to get for Leicester?

 

Can already see them adapting to the physicality of playing against men. Honestly hope we can get a Colt team in the leagues permanently. It’s such a better way to do it. Planning on making a good few games this season to watch them.

 

Likely still in the first team squad. He was on the bench on Thursday.

I think it will happen but we will need to start next season in lowland and work our way up

 

I really hope so, these 15/16 year olds are holding their own against seasoned pros, it’s the kind of development that we need as a club and as a nation, without the next batch of youngsters our game stagnates. I really don’t see why we wouldn’t be encouraging the colts to join the professional setup, all I see is positives from it.

 

Look at the buzz it’s created amongst us on here just looking out for their results. That alone straight away is a bonus, then add to that all the others I don’t see a single con to this at all. And no Cons for any of the teams in Scotland either, ridiculous this is a 1 year deal and they’ve rejected so far us joining next year. Can any of these boys play for the first team this year or now they’ve appeared for the colts can’t?

 

I believe that they are allowed to play for the 1st team 5 times before they can’t go back to the colts.

 

A restructure of the lower leagues is needed badly anyway, there is no need for 3 lower league under the Premiership in Scotland. Invite all premiership teams to put a colt team into the league 1 and allow promotion to the Championship with having two 16 to 20 team leagues.

 

100% with you on this reform has bee needed for at least 10 years. Too many smaller teams happy just to get a cup draw against one of the top 6 to balance the books. A nation of 5 million does not need 4 professional leagues and over 40 teams.

I go and watch East Fife now and again, the standard in L1 is atrocious, and that’s a considerably well supported team 600-750 each home game, you get teams struggling to pull in 200 a week that can’t be viable financially and it certainly doesn’t give the punters much to get excited about.
