I agree to an extent, the main problem is there is no one in either SFA or SPFL willing to redevelop the youth system. Look at the hurdles the B team have had just to play in competitive football. The games a disgrace in this country.

 

Yeah that's also true but we need to focus on getting our own house in order we regularly get battered by that shower of * across the city and they are also working under same restraints

 

Any chance we could pay to get the team into the league system? Or even start up a “B” or colts team down in England? Akin to the city group having a billion teams around the globe

 

Short answer is no, that’s why its the league they’re in just now. It won’t be voted in, because the teams in the lower leagues don’t want it.

If the SFA had any baws ataw they would make it happen though, it’d stand Scotland as a National Team in a much better place 5:6 years from it being allowed. Works for Spain doesn’t it.

The only plausible way would be to buy a team (much like the RB teams) then sign all the youth to that team. The only issue with that is you can't own 2 teams in the same country (not 100% sure of that) so would have to be a Welsh, English or NI team. English team would be the best bet but even a small club you'd be talking silly money.

It's more up to the clubs to push forward and push for better restructuring. But when you have 40+ teams looking out for self interest it'll never happen. Can always remember the Brechin chairman being an absolute ding, standing in the way of progress to save the mighty Brechin and all its former glories escape the Highland League.

Celtic have today completed the signings of Justin Osagie and Francis Turley, with both players joining the club on three-year contracts.

Seventeen-year-old Justin, who had previously been a youth with West Ham United, will go into the B team squad, while 16-year-old Francis, whose previous club was Glentoran, will play with the Under-18s.

Everyone welcomes Justin and Francis to the club and wishes them all the best for the future.

 

Thought we signed Osagie in July?

 

We did but for some reason he didn’t officially sign until today. Not sure why.
