good for the boys to get games dont know what level these other leagues and teams are though guess the boys will find their level though

wish we just join all the leagues together make a proper pyramid and try and set each division with around 18 to 20 teams a piece so they play each other home and away instead of 4 times a season pish (one of the worst thing ever to happen in scottish football)

surely people could see the benefits to this for the whole of scottish football

It wouldn't work, there are not 20 top flight level teams in Scotland. League 2 is pretty much all semi pro and * same for league 1 mostly semi pro, the odd professional normally when one of the usual championship teams * it for a season.

    What would the benefit be?

There’s easily 20 teams capable of being in the Premiership and competing to some degree.

Killie, ICT, Partick, Hamilton, Ayr, Raith, Dunfermline and QoS could all compete with your St Mirren, Dundee, United, Livi, County etc and take points off the rest.

I think 20 is too much though. 16 would be enough.

They couldn't really compete though, it would mean less of the games that broadcasters want to see so would probably reduce TV money (which is already scarce enough) you'd then have a championship thats far to Broad and the same with lack of realistic competition and no money in it, then a basically all * 3rd tier amd if the Highland and lowland were not regional leagues, you'd end up with gala fairy Dean playing Brora rangers a 5 hour 1 way trip, the fuel alone would * those clubs up having to do things like that regularly.

16 you'd maybe just about get away with but face the same problems.

Im.not a fan of the league structure but I don't know what would make it work, realistically joining the English league system or the often proposed North Atlantic league are the things that would make things properly exciting. But it'll the let down the smaller teams

Contradicting yourself. On one hand worrying about money and the smaller teams, then saying you’d jump ship on the other hand.

The guff between the bottom 6 Prem teams and the Championsip isn’t much. You’d easily make it a 16 team league.

Also Fort William just announced their pitch isn’t playable and are having to play every game away from home. You’re saying teams can’t afford fuel. Wonder how they will get on.

It was a bit, the Concers are independent of each other. The journeys would the be higher issue than the fuel of course, they are part time players at that level. And yes, the jump * would benefit us as a club I believe, it will be difficult to leave the history behind but such are the times, it's not possible to be a truly competitive club in Scotland, especially one of our stature.

Aye, how does that flow Down though with the other leagues below the top flight? And again, broadcasters don't want Ayr vs Dundee they want the big games. Yes if we leave then broadcasters will have less interest but teams will have a chance at actual prize money

The physical differences can’t be overstated, they’ll learn a lot from that. How to apply your talent against people bigger and stronger as the year goes on you’ll see them adapt to that.

    Wouldn’t change anything for broadcasters.

All they do is show either our game or the huns depending on who’s playing away that week. Then they pick up the Edinburgh derby etc now and then. They only care about us and the smaller teams benefit from that somewhat.

But disappointed that hjelde has been dropped down to the colts tonight, I'd have liked him to have been on the bench against the Danes

Good result for the young lads, will do the world for their confidence. Hopefully the start of a decent wee run.
