I'd say that was like men against boys, but.. you know :giggle1:

Everything I've heard about Lawal so far makes him sound very impressive. Wonder if he could feature in the first team sooner rather than later. Moffat seems ready for a loan to a Scottish Championship side at least if he's not going to be around the first team this year. Exciting times.

Is being in this league providing much benefit to the older boys other than match fitness?

Competitiveness and regular football, can’t be a bad thing. Some result for them though canny wait for the highlights.

Can the colts get promoted from the lowland league or are we stuck in that?

Been to 3 colts games this season and 3 young bhoys who stand out a mile are big lawal at the back built like Tyson, reading of the game, pace and his timing of tackles are a class act, also very vocal, confident and great with the ball at his feet and passing from defence
Moffat s a joy to watch aswell with skills like a young mcgeady only difference he knows how to find the net aswell
And rudi vatas boy who’s only 15 but way he plays is well beyond his years

They can’t mate that’s why the lowland league teams agreed to them being in it

I think that’s more to do with older players coming back into the team after preseason to be honest.

Honesty getting to the point where I’d be looking for loan deals for any of them that aren’t complete weans.

    No.

The old reserve league was more competitive.

I was going to go to this match as well, wish I had now. Vale of Leithen are by far the worst in the league though, brilliant ice cream shop around the corner though.

Aye it would be good for a higher standard league but it's good to be involved, it gives proper experience of a season in league football, some of the better teams I. The league will give a good game, the fact that we aren't just straight top of the league shows that, but good performances are what we want.

It's just a 1 year experiment this year really, hopefully we are admitted into the pyramid proper on the back of it and then it'll really show its value for youth and hopefully lead to bettering the national team as well, but that's a way off yet

I think they got used to playing against adults very quickly, they adapted to the physicality much quicker than I thought. Aye, I’d be getting Moffat out on loan, he’s too good for where he’s playing.

It’s good that they’re playing against adults. The standard is * but this result has been an outlier so far. Apparently that team is like Fort William. Utter dross.

Would be great if we could get the B team into League 2 with promotion allowed for them.

The reality is the league 2 teams were * scared either us or Rangers would take the promotion slots and they didn't want to vote for it for that reason.

That’s quite annoying, most of the teams seem to be of quite a poor standard.

Ironically it’s probably just as good if not better than the 2nd division, the standard down there is worse than Sunday league.

Aye I've heard pro's saying that before that the standard is just as good and that a good few junior team's would beat team's in higher league's..

Have to get them in the league's though with promotion and maybe a cap at league 1/championship at best eventually..
