    OK, just had a massive bevvie wi ma Spanish pals & they reckon Del Horno is "mas o menos vale", their not that fussed with him - think he's alright, but ain't no world beater!

    They don't even give a * about the other Italian guy at Valencia, cos they're not Valencia fans!

    So basically they don't really know jack *!!

    Said Del Horno was ok for under 3million, especially if your looking for a decent LB on the cheap - although wages would prob be an issue.

    people need to be patient ,GS has explained ,if there no better than what we have why sign them ,its pointless going after someone ,who will not do a better job than the person thats allready there ,he will deliver ,but it will take time

    When chelsea signed del horno they paid £10 million and he was first choice left back for the whole season and they won the league with ease that year. Also has 10 caps for spain so i would say he is a pretty decent player.

    he is a steal at £2.5m. reminds me of the Samaras deal. big money move to the EPL, but was deemed surplus to requirements after a few seasons.

    Seems to me this is the type of deal we are going for lately, big money disappointments from big clubs who are looking to offload their flops.

    Gravesen, Donati, Samaras, all were the same.

    Been linked with a few of these types & I'm not really sure if it's the way we should be going.

    I've watched Leko several times and have yet to be impressed, he's decent enough but he's far from a 'fighter'. You get awful melodramatic with your appraisals of players mate :56:
