Aye, ken there is more of a structure to it than just me, you and the rest of TC sitting in a bar pished trying to sign Messi, Ronaldo and Killen for the funzies.

Never fully looked in to the inner workings of the fan ownership model though, but ken a few clubs in Europe pull it off to some reasonable success, and can work well.

Any links/names of clubs that do it well though, and models we would/realistically be able to follow?

In Germany ( which is probably the best model to follow in all football related things imo ) no single business or person is allowed to own a majority of a club all the top Argentinian teams and the big 3 in Spain and a couple of midrange clubs scattered around Europe. DD isn't going to invest anytime soon and if he ever sells we could end up getting a Craig white type owner

I still wish DD would put in some money to see us become a constant in European football, at the very least. If I was in his shoes, I'd be pumping cash into the club like *.

I mean, currently the league we're playing in is struggling to even find a sponsor! We need investment! Recruit some quality players, and people will tune in.

I doubt he will, he's done the right thing in getting the business side of us on the straight and narrow. Any investment is going to have to come from player sales and CL revenue - which from next season is significantly increased, so hopefully we see a little push from that.

FFP rules will restrict his involvement even more so - or rather turn him off the idea of splashing the cash on us.

It works well in a sense, we just need to accept we are who we are in terms of what we can afford via means generated by the club alone.

I think if he was going to, he would've done it by now. The time to do it (right after Seville, I'd say) has been and gone, really.
