My thoughts too regards Starfelt.

Lacks pace and can only hope his lapses in reading the game are down to concentration and not being used to playing in a team where he has so little to do.

The only way is up for this defense.

 

Going forward we're looking good but we still can't defend to even the most basic of levels. Until we make ourselves hard to score against we won't progress much. For Hearts to have 2 goals for the contribution they made to the game and for the winning margin to be only 1 goal despite the gulf in class is both infuriating and worrying. Plus points were our overall attacking play which was very good and also a lot of the individual performances(Kyogo, Rogic, Jamsie, Turnbull, McGregor, Ralston).

Well it’s pretty easy to see we are still far from the finished article, if you don’t take any negatives from today then good for you. I and others want us back to where we belong, that defence won’t take us there.

 

Starfelt looks startled out there.

 

Would have Julien and Welsh at the back at this point, presuming no more CBs are getting signed.

 

That score line is ridiculous. We were all over them like a fat kid in a lollie shop.

 

Mostly another great performance, that first half was incredible and if we are hitting those heights already under ange then I cant wait to see us further down the line.

 

Defence is still a concern.

 

I do see negatives, obviously there is, but there are a load of positives too and given where we were 3 weeks ago im pretty happy

Need reinforcements, that hasn't changed

 

Mark my words, we are putting 10 past someone this season. The amount of chances we created today, we could have won that by 8 or 9 today. Frightening going forward. I love Forrest but I think if we are going to be keeping Edouard, I think he drops out for Abada. Early days but enjoying what I’m seeing.

The 70 minute wind down again. Had me worried last week, same again this week. It’s like the defence gets caught in a loop of playing around the back and we get caught. Need to cut that * out, on what was a very good performance.

 

Could have been 6 by half time, Gordon made some saves the stupid dour faced * that he is.

 

Spot on, we all know we need to sort the defence out but the progress we have made under Ange in such a short space of time is * unreal

I've got so much trust in him now, he will sort the defence before the window shuts.
