    true mate, there's a few good ones available but its getting them to come to the SPL. ujfalusi at fiorentina is another one, top class CB out of contract but wouldn't look sideways at us

    its all good saying who we want to come. i think the manager (hope to * a diff 1) will look at squad and say lets set priorities on this area. for me. the defence has needed a good overhall in a good 3/4 seasons.defence may cut it sometimes in spl, but its always fcuked us in euro nites. question is, who do you bring in, in realistic terms!! for me the only defender i would keep rite now is hinkel! maybe a bit harsh. but a want composure at the back, a dont want ma * twitchen aw the time when a team attack us!! realisticly the back four wont change. unrealisticaly i would maybe have hinkel, dunne, buyten. a dont have a clue on who for left back. what about that lad fae derby young scotish player. jay someting?! pass!! midfield i would keep brown and defo play robson. a duno y he aint playen as he scored goals wae utd, sumthen difrent and more physical than donut! and he up for player o year, y buy him if he not gona play him!! i like the sounds of srna btw!! i hav liked the look o him, but i do not think he would come!

    I would first of all get rid of Strachan. I am sorry if you all dont agree but he was lucky in his first season as manager. He beat Alex Mcleish whos time was up at Rangers and LeGuen who under estimated the Scottish game and ot off to a bad start. O'neill got 9 point twice in the CL group stages but was not lucky to go thru were as Strachan has been lucky 9 points got us thru both times in the last 2 years.

    I would like to see Davie Moyes but he wont come. I would then try to get Roy Keane or Tony Mowbray. I would make these changes to the team in the summer.

    OUT

    Pressley = Realesed
    Balde = Released
    Donnati = 2 mil
    Sno = 1 mil
    Killen = 300,000
    Virgo = 400,000
    Naka = 3 mil (one trick pony and has no heart)
    Mark Brown = 500,000 That will bring in over 4 mil

    IN

    two of the following three defenders:

    Richard Dunne = Free Contract
    Van Buyten = 5 mil
    Hyypia = Free Contract

    Stephen Hunt = 5 mil for the midfield

    I would then play the following 11 in a 4-4-2

    1. Boruc
    2. Hinkel
    3. Doumbe
    4. McManus
    5. Dunne
    6. Hartley (holding midfield roll)
    7. Brown
    8. Riordan
    9. Hunt
    10. McDonald
    11. Mcgeady (free roll behind a sole striker)

    I would also start using the following subs which dont get a chance at the moment under Strachan.

    12. Mizuno
    13. Riordan
    14. Robson
    15. Hutchison
    16. Graveson

    its easy to pick players out... i want this and i want that..
    but i reckon celtic wont be buying he haw with strachan onboard.. he clearly rates caldwell or he wouldnt play him! its not cause were short of numbers cause we have o'dea, balde, pressley, kennedy and probley some good reserve defenders.. i dont see why he persists with naylor aswell, when wilson is fit again, cause we know wilson can play left back. im not gonna go through each player, but celtic have a big enough squad of players and good players at that to to win the spl, to beat the motherwells and rangers. i blame the manager...

    and on the evidence of what he has bought... i dont want him buying anybody else..

    get rid of the * we got.... give the youth players a chance.. there not closing in on there 7th league reserve title for nothing.. time to unleash KOKI!!!!!

    curtis davies signed for villa, veloso costs 15 - 20 mill, arsenal and man u are after him. hyypia refused his new contract i thought? dunne is stalling.
    if we could get the playes suggested here however i would go either:

    4-4-2
    Boruc
    Hinkel
    Dunne/van Buyten
    McManus
    Wilson
    Srna/Fletcher/Brown
    Brown/Fletcher
    Veloso/Hartley
    Mcgeady
    Riordan
    Samaras

    or 4-3-3
    Bor
    Hink
    Dun/Van B
    Mick
    Wils
    Fletch
    Brown
    Hartley/Veloso
    Mcgeady
    Samaras

    Why Strachan should be sacked and my celtic team for 2008/09

    First of all we need a new manager. maybe David Moyes, Slaven Bilic, Mark McGee. I dont understand why Celtic went for Strachan in yhe first place because he did not do well down south. People say hes done well back to back championships last 16 of the champions league. i will admit Strachan did well in getting us to the last 16 of the Champions League. But the last two seasons Rangers have been so bad and that makes Celtic look brilliant. Micky Mouse could have led Celtic to the back to back league championships. Celtic have given him good transfers money but look at some of the players Celtic have bought in the last 3 years. Mo Camara, Paul Telfer, Lee Naylor, Gary Caldwell and telling Didier Agathe to go after what he had done for Celtic in the past, certainly better than any right back now. What is this fuss with Derek Riordan, hes a good player and is simply not getting a chance. These are just some of the seasons i think Strachan should be sacked!! Do you agree???

    Boruc (C)
    Hinkel McManus Balde/ Van Buyten NEW LB

    :celt_2:McGeady:celt_2: Brown Mizuno/ Donati Nakamura/ Robson

    Samaras/ McDonald Hutchinson/ Riordan

    id settle for giving bobo & kennedy the heart of our defence.. they cant do any worse than what we got..

    wilson instead of naylor
    naka is is favoured central postion with brown(should he decide to wanna play) and give koki the right wing.

    hutchinson a chance upfront..

    its pointless going out buying all these other players when we have players we bought in january yet to even feature... who knows, these guys might be worth the wait.

    my first move is, strachan out.... whats old wim jansen upto these days :p:p:p

    think wim may be director of fitba at feyenord mate. as for kennedy and bobo, that sounds like an accident waiting to happen and naka is far too lightweight to play in the middle

    I've seen some mention Srna. He's a top class player, but not on the left side, he's only right side. For the left:Babić and Pranjić, both very good Croats. I agree with starky, Naka in the middle, and I'd have Mizuno and Srna(if he's bought) to fight for the right wide position.

    ----------- Boruc -----------

    Hinkel --------- McManus--------Hyppiä --------Naylor (Balde :celt_2:)

    Gravesen ---------------------Brown --------------McGeady

    Nakamura

    ----------------McDonald ---------------JVOH

    (McCarthy) (Samaras)

    Subs:
    Caldwell (made to many important mistakes)
    Donati ( still isn't the player he supposed to be)
    Mizuno ( gets no chance from gs )
    Riordan ( the same )
    Sno ( hope he gets his breakthrough next season )
    Robson ( competitive player )
    Hutchinson ( still no chance from gs )

    i'm sad to say it but i expect many players to leave our club in summer cuz they never really got a chance from the coach. i always respected strachan but as the history says real good players like Jarosik and Balde were ignored. so whats the point ?
    Jarosik always was a great player and Balde the same...
    i hope harry kewell and robbie keane to come and maybe a good player from euro2008...we'll see
    best would be henrik to come back for next season....haha :52:
