Can we just give them the 3-0 win already? Give the players a rear for a day?

Nah, but all seriousness, I'm not expecting much at all from this.
The betis game and knowing Leverkusen will not play like United just did, makes me think we may see a bit of an open game and nab a goal or two.

We will concede 5 or 6 though at the same time.

    Not the worse idea.

The first teams gonna get skelped beyond belief, may as well give the fringe/reserves a crack at it instead.

Can young Lawal be played? I know there is a rule stopping him in the domestic league, but does that stop an under21 playing in Europe regardless?

What :giggle1: We might get pumped but we will certainly have the ball for extended periods throughout the game so when we do it’s hardly rocket science to target Frimpong

Kent gave the boy nightmares anytime we played the Huns...that’s the level he was defending at. Got exposed in Europe as well.

He wasn’t fine anytime we played the Huns, in particular. And that is an important yardstick in judging a Celtic players quality.

Frimpong will have a field day with the space we leave at full back positions

Frimpong is coming back to Celtic Park a marginally better player than when he left. He was one of the better performers in last seasons * show until he decided to jump ship. No criticism of that either. I do think that if Jota plays it will be an interesting contest between two players that like to play a bit of ball.

The bigger picture suggests we should give players a rest in my opinion.

Our C team getting pumped 6-0 at Parkhead would derail us

Our league title hopes are hanging by a thread as it stands. Far more important than the Europa League.

We can't/won't rest our best available players out of fear we'll take a defeat or to prioritise for the Aberdeen game. It's a home European tie which our fans have paid decent money to attend so it'll be an insult if we don't approach the game like we mean business.

I'd rather have bitton in midfield for this ahead of soro or McCarthy.

Going to be watching at Parker’s through the cracks in ma fingers.

Really not looking forward to it, they have a lot of quality players and we are majorly lacking confidence and more importantly a spine of the team.

If the manager doesn’t change the system for this then Its a huge worry. He can’t just play the same way in every game. I’d rather park the bus and play ugly than go all out attack. Yes we would create a few decent chances but would concede goals for fun in our current state. Play for a draw and keep us in with a fighting chance for when we get players back for the double header.

hes not changing it, i think hes got to drop one of rogic or turnbull at least for 1 half the 2 of them cant last more than half each anyway at current times

if mccarthy is out who plays defensive midfield soro he cant do that alone hes too reckless needs someone else with him bitton has he got the legs for midfield anymore ?

    its looking like

hart, ralston, ccv, starfelt, montgomery, rogic, soro, turnbull, abata, ajeti, jota a knackered lineup against a top quality side

    scary stuff
