I mind a couple of seasons ago I was * seriously hammered and ended up though out the full game I got 4 cheese burgers and 2 pies scranned the lot.

Spewed my ring not long after the game like.

Well said. What a stupid thing to say.

  3. It is ridiculous and no one on this thread made such a claim.

  4. Never eaten from them for years. Overpriced and horrible.

The last time i used them was to buy a bovril just to keep my hands warm :smiley-laughing002:

  5. You tell that to a 9 year old child :50: Buying food at a game for me is to add to the match day experience, a once a fortnight treat for the kid not the fact i cant last 90 minutes without food like you suggest. The foods * in every stadium up and down the UK * even some of the stadiums ive been to in Europe have been *, had a Panini in the San Siro was so stale it was * awful.

As a customer why should we pay high prices for a * product, if it happened in a town center it wouldnt get custom, but because your inside a stadium they get away with selling * to us. I for one would love to see a more healthy option available, chicken/pasta salads, noodles, * even fresh sandwiches. What makes it worse is you ARE! forced to buy it as your not allowed to bring tins or bottles into the stadium so you have no other choice but to pay for the flat soda available from the kiosks.

  6. I don't think it's "*" as you so eloquently put it. But it could be improved. The queues are just something that I think can't be helped. The food - well, I only ever get a cheeseburger and bovril, which are generally very good imo. Couldn't comment on the quality of the other stuff on offer :50:

  7. using the lowest grade beef allowed (both pies and burgers) and the lowest quality buns retorts to * imo ;)

And like ive said its not just Celtic that doest it its 99% of sports arenas that do it, anything to maximise profit. But we live in the year 2012 we expect a better product than what was on offer in the late 80s

  8. Tbh mate I was replying to the OP, not you. But as it happens we clearly disagree anyway. I don't think it's * from what I've ate from it (which I've already said is limited in that I've only ever bought an admittedly overpriced cheeseburger).

It's a nice cheeseburger nonetheless though and the amount of people I've been to games with who haven't thought so outnumbers those who moan tenfold. Which is not to say it's not your right to moan, don't get me wrong. It's very much overpriced and could be improved service-wise and probably quality-wise, but it's not "*" by any stretch of the imagination. If you think it is then you couldn't sound more pretentious imo.

  9. Sure I've mentioned it before but what Greggs needs to do is get some partnership with football clubs to have Greggs shops in stadia.
Imagine the money they'd make plus I'd * murder a steak beak at half time.

  10. Everybody knows the food at football is crap yet the majority of people who complain still get something to eat from them every week easy answer stop buying * food

I'm sure Celtic used to have a partnership with the golden arches and they had a stall in the north stand I don't know if it's still there but it's definitely a money maker and I'm surprised these companies have never looked into it

  11. The food is overpriced * at football grounds in general, not just Celtic Park. I'll usually grab something to eat in the city centre before heading to the pub for a few then up to the stadium but drinking always makes me hungry so sometimes I'll buy a pie or a burger at half-time and they're usually rank rotten. I'd happily pay a bit extra if the standard of food got better, even though it's overpriced as it is.

  12. Quality of food can be poor at times and its very overpriced.

  13. I always get some to eat before I go to CP and usually get something afterwards as well...food would just distract a fat * like me from the match.

Food at parkhead is overpriced and poor quality. I've bought food at Dunfermline and Kilmarnock and it was quite good, better than CP anyway

Hardly ever bought anything from inside or around parkhead, overpriced crap. Get to parkhead 10 mins earlier and go inside tesco or KFC and buy something to eat for the rest of the walk to the stadium.

Only thing i would buy is bovril but even then its a * oxo cube with hot water and they charge something like 2 quid for it! Its usually just to keep my hands warm during the winter.

  15. The steak pies in Parkhead are superb. Scotch pies are an average scotch pie - never really have any other food. Nothing forces anybody to buy the food - if you think it's * and overpriced then don't buy it - simple.

  16. Aye I'm aware of that. What I'm trying to say is if you don't like it then don't buy it, simple as that.

I've held a season ticket for years and I've never once purchased any food there because a) Its too expensive and b) Its just not that great.

Eat before you go and if the kids don't like it then that's a shame. Cook them a full breakfast and a substantial lunch and you won't need to buy them food to eat there.

If the problem is the fact that you see it as a treat once a fortnight then why not grab a chippy on the way up the road? Seems pretty much like common sense to me.

  17. I have occasionaly bought a Scotch pie at CP and I thought these are ok. Took me a couple of years to do so, because I am not really accustomed to this type of food. Main reason I never inside CP is because of the long queues at the food stands.

I see Bovril is popular in Scottish football stadiums as well, particular when combined with a pie (coffee and pie do not mix well in any case). I have to try that one day (maybe now that it is getting colder), but have not yet had the courage to do so. A drink based on meat-extract does not sound that great to me.

  18. Whats wrong with serving a few sandwhiches or rolls?

  19. youve obviously not got kids then ;)
