Can we admit that this team needs a major overhaul?

not a major overhaul no but a few wee important tweaks would do a job .

 

Not a major overhaul needed just a freshen up of the team. We could even do that without bringing anybody in. We have Henderson, Johnson, Eboue, Eddy all sitting there. We have addressed the cb position, with Compper coming in. Lustig had a shocker today, under pressure he kept giving it away, I don't think Gamboa is rated by Brendan so he could be off.So a new RB is needed. Rogic has been a big miss of late, has the ability to open defences up with either a pass or running through. Wouldn't be disappointed if we got rid of Armstrong and brought in some quality into the midfield. While he is hot I would sell Dembele and fund that midfield place, trying to rotate 3 quality strikers is not good, they all need playing time. So not an over haul but a freshen up.

Would like to see another winger, right back/centerback and attacking midfielder come in. Think we'll get at least 2 of them. During the summer i think another goalkeeper and striker might come too.

'Major overhaul' is a bit strong. But we certainly need to sign a wide player in January. Sinclair is woefully out of form and as good as wee Jamesy Forresty has been we need an alternative. Not having Patrick Roberts and Tom Rogic available is a huge miss.

We haven't played consistently well at any point this season. I'm far from turning on our manager but he needs to up his game as well. When he first arrived here he frequently changed games by making substitutions and/or formation changes. I'm not seeing that so much this season.

Everybody needs to do better. That today was * unacceptable.

 

We need several positions strengthened ,Important positions,I don't know how you would consider that anything other than a major overhall and Rodgers saying we need strength and depth should have alarm bells ringing for everyone to expect more johnny Hayes type signings

None of this loan for 25 games pish either we have accrued enough finances to go out and spend a significant amount of money and by that I mean £15m plus

 

Given we are still odds on for a 2nd treble I dont think there will be the appetite to spend over £5m nevermind £15m and that will be the case even if dembele goes for £15-20m.

I think our internal objectives remain to qualify for the champions league and to dominate the domestic game and while it feels like we have flatlined, or even gone backwards, I dont see any reason why the board will change its spending policy

Rather have our problems than theirs.....

 

We need a few more players. But not a whole overhaul. What we are seeing js the result of playing on so many fronts. We still won a cup already and top of the league. We need some quality additions for sure but not a major team overhaul. I think after winter break we will be playing much better

 

I’d be looking for closer to £40m for those, and would want to see more of Millar before we invest in a LB..

 

I do think Christie deserves a chance to show what he can do for us, next season. His loan move has been successful it would send out the wrong message to younger players if he wasn’t given a chance..

But aye, I would like permanent transfers.. 23-27 yrs old with decent pedigree. Time to splash the cash..
