About 4 weeks ago we had a brand new Biasi combi boiler fitted. It worked fine for a week and then problems.
It wouldn't heat the rads and cut out every 4 minutes. The guy who installed it talked us through changing the settings, so it now heats the rads but still cuts out every 4 minutes.
It goes up to 85 degrees and then cuts out. The central heating pump comes back on after about 10 seconds but no flame. The boiler temp flashes until it gets down to 60, about 2 minutes. Then the flame comes on and it rises to 85 after a further 2 minutes and then cuts out and we start again.
The guy who installed it says this is normal but I disagree
Discuss can anyone help with a boiler problem ? in the TalkCeltic Pub area at TalkCeltic.net.

85 degrees sounds way too high thought the average is about 65 can you lower it ?

Could be a pressure issue? The safety valve will kick in if pressure gets too high or low etc and if it is brand new I assume it might have some sort of quick fill sensor which would refill it when it drops. Could be a leak or something in the pipework somewhere.
Check the pressure valve on your unit it should stay around 1.5 to 2 bar maybe slightly higher or lower -
Did you get new thermostat and rads fitted also ? -
Couldn't get a shower this morning but hot water fine this evening. Maybe I didn't give it long enough this morning -

Phone Biasi, get them out under the warranty. A new boiler shouldn't be doing that.

May be a faulty sensor or something along they lines, and if it is faulty just now, it will only get worse such are the way these things are built. -
