Good experience at a decent level Good age. Option to buy.

Many boxes ticked. I'm expecting him to do well.

Defence suddenly looks so much better with CCV, Juranovic and Scales in.

Hopefully him coming here will help Celtic and in turn Celtic can help him with his World Cup ambitions this year also. :)

Given up predicting how CB's will turn out for us after Duffy being a disaster when he was meant to be the answer and Starfelt not hitting the heights yet.

Maybe after everyone being disappointed with this one it might go the other way and he turns out to surprise us all.

That's what I'm telling myself anyway.

I don’t get why signed a new deal or is it a rolling contract?

Read the link, so he has a rolling contract each year by the looks of it?

Effectively aye, pretty much. Fingers crossed he plays with Tony’s heart and is class.

    * knows man.

Last night I read he had a 1 yr extension option in his contract, but Spurs extended his contract anyway so that extension moved into the new contract and that’s what they will use.

It happens all the time. City done it with Itakuro. We done it before aswell with Calvin Miller but sure there is others.

I'm imaging it's just a calculated risk on their part by inserting this year option.

The way I'm reading it is they wanted to sell him but couldn't find a buyer so before letting him out on loan they took up this 1 year extension in the hope of getting a fee for him down the line. We'll prob pick up a portion of his wage so it will be little outlay in wages for a potential £4m sale at the end of it

Probably what Chelsea were doing when they had 463 youth players.

Admittedly not the best signing in an area we are weak in. Don't think we have time to "coach" it into him.

Need a signing of intent for defense and didn't get it.

He’ll be back up and do fine domestically, but he’ll be behind Welsh, Jullien and Starfelt.

The way it’s worded though it’s like he doesn’t get a choice in the matter if that makes sense?

Its * mad if that’s the case, we should be doing that with players in that case so we don’t end up with issues like Christie

It would be great but it’s probably pretty difficult to get agents and players to agree, since it takes the power out of their hands.
