Showed today why he needed to play and it was the correct decision.

ST J threatened more when he went off. Scored and had they managed another in the remaining 20 or so it would’ve been squeaky * time.

His wee interceptions from the side and behind are top drawer..

As mentioned the difference when he's out is so noticeable. Defensively go to *..

    He IS the difference.
Pointless repeating again of how massive player he's been for us.
Let's hope he's exhausted limit of bad luck with injuries.

He’s our defence, it’s even more than a lynchpin. He makes everyone defensively better in addition to just being a * hot defender in himself.

I light a candle that he’s available for the rest of the season.

    * brilliant he’s not going away for internationals. That decision could literally be the difference this season

I'm glad CCV is staying and maybe it's even true for once that Rodgers personally intervened like he is claiming; but it always gives me a laugh when I see that classic format:

    1) A problem exists.
2)"Listen, I [insert tale of personal intervention by Brendan Rodgers]."
    3) The problem is solved.

He's the difference, settles everyone down. I hope we're going to, at last, find a quality defensive partner for him in the summer. What a difference it would make.

It was astonishing today, the difference with him in the team. He controls the 10 yards around him constantly. He commands the space between our 18 yard box and the center circle. He's not the tallest. But his presence is outstanding. He is very quick and very powerful and also a big danger in the opposition box at set pieces. Our best center half since Van Dijk in my opinion. Better than Jullien and I always thought he was a good center half for us. CCV a very good buy and very worth the money

Im gonnae say...........and I probably shouldnt......but if he's taking injections to get through the pain barrier and to play for us then I am gonnae ask him to please keep taking them to the end of the season cause we * need him right now. Our defence is tinfoil without him. We need him if we're gonnae win the league

Well done Brendan. International managers can be total * at times. Even when Ange was manager of Australia (before we knew the man and thought so highly of him) he used to insist that Rogic travelled all the way over there for daft * friendlies against New Zealand or some * and it would * him up for 2 weeks around that game trying to play for us through all the travelling etc. Ange would insist that he had to go. It makes sense to come and go with club managers if you are an international manager. You want the player at the top of their game for both club and country cause it benefits both

He probably did have that meeting. And USNT said he didn’t get a call up cos injury concerns for him.

And he nodded in satisfaction the meeting not having much effect on things as a great job done.

I loved the ‘one on one’ with Hatate, ‘pointed out a few things’ and Hatate scored maybe goal of the season and a blinder the next game.

And I’m 100% it’s cos he spent an hour listening to a language he can’t understand and thought * this man, I need to make sure that’s no happening again:56:

Can’t remember the player but it was at Leicester the guy said he took a team talk to them all in Spanish. 2 guys fluent in Spanish in the dressing room, and one was Rodgers. It was the guy who said he chapped his door to demand gametime and Rodgers pointed at his belt telling him it’s a Gucci belt mate :56:

Think that * has to be * bullshit and an ex player salty as * - but you can picture that it might actually be true :56::56:

It's funny how many of these managers in the modern era are kind of weird! I mean, who out of our managers would you describe as fairly normal? Lenny, Jansen and Mowbray? That's all I can think of since I started supporting us in 92. Maybe Dr Jo and Lou Macari weren't that weird either??

Rodgers, Ange, Ronny, WGS, MON, Tommy, Liam Brady... all very strange people. In Tommy's case, he was weird by being better than us; but it's still weird. It actually isn't normal to be that humble and kind. Normal people don't e.g. accept going back as the youth coach after previously being the head honcho or dedicate themselves to others the way he did.

Definitely, Rodgers' brand of weirdness is the most annoying, Tommy's the most admirable and Ange's just pips WGS's as the most entertaining.

    He's just so good.

    Any 50/50 isn't a 50/50 with him.

The strength of the man is astounding.

My worry is, he has to play at Livingston on that * pitch. Ideally we’d not play him, but I don’t think that’s an option now.

The difference big CCV makes to the team is immeasurable. We would never have lost at the diets if he had been in the team - even with cheating Beaton
