It's one that's not exciting me either and for that sort of money would Baldock not be more likely?

We probably can get a better player for the money but think he’d do well here.

Would be able to play straight away, no quarantine period I believe.

Also, rather a permanent signing than a loan, the boy linked from Man City looks like he’d be good but wouldn’t want a loan signing unless there is an option to be honest.

    I think he'd be a good signing.

The most positive thing about the link though, is that it means we still want another CB. Thank *.

    Never been impressed by him..

With us signing Starfelt especially and he's 6'1. We need a more dominant presence in the air. 2 guys who are barely over 6 foot, as centre halves, in a fairly small side as it is....would be terrible for us going forward..

We can do better, definitely for the money being quoted as well..

    Jullien is 6 foot 5
    This guy 6 foot 1
Stephen Welsh is 6 foot 3
    Leo Hjelde 6 foot 2
    Dane Murray 6 foot 4

Think we have quite tall centre backs to be honest. Also, they don’t all have to be 6 foot 4 and above, defenders don’t need to be giant and Carter Vickers is also 6 foot.

Puyol was only 5 foot 10, Cordoba was 5 foot 8, cannavaro was 5 foot 8 and they still played at the top level.

Would rather have defenders who can actually see what is happening, get themselves into a good position and be able time tackles/duels/headers at the right time.

Too many people have an obsession with defenders needing to be giants. There’s so many attributes that are much more important in my opinion.

Not saying that I know or anything. But by the looks of it I don't think Steven Welsh is any where near 6.3 lucky if he's 6 feet imo.

Officially he is 191 cm tall, but I don't think that is right. FM 21 states his height as 182 cm. Anyhow, we do need a faster, more intelligent CB if we use a high line. Tall and brave CB-s do matter, since set pieces and lofted balls will be the mode of attack we'll be most eposed to, in Scotland.

Maybe Ajer is lifting Eddy? :-D

Seriously though, that pic is from last year so it's possible he's grown an inch or 2 and that it's a camera trick of the light. Wiki has him at 1.9m, so that's 6'2". Probably drawn from club data. Seems kinda iffy though

Hope their passing is crisp and can peel away from defenders quickly.

They dont. Id rather a centre back who is well positioned than one who can jump high. positioning will win every day of the week.
