    Like the look of both Orjasaeter and Balikwisha. Both players have spoke of our interest in them so both genuine targets and both well within our budget. Both are also capable of playing either side so would get plenty of game time

    I think saying he's far more effective is a bit debatable.

    11 of his 16 league goals came out wide. All of his 7 league assists came out wide.

    4 UCL goals came starting out wide.

    I still believe he offers as much out wide as he does through the middle. And you also get the added bonus of him basically being a 2nd left back.

    I'm of the opinion that we need a striker who can link the play, is good on the ball and can hold it up. Maeda for all his good, still shows that slackness of touch and in general that just isn't his game. Idah isn't showing it regularly enough.

    For me, there's definitely room for another striker. But time will tell.

    Yeah I agree he's not much of a link man and maybe recency bias but from January until April he was unreal and scored a ridiculous amount of goals. Was never his biggest fan as a winger anyway. We constantly play against team who park that bus and to combat that we need more skillful wingers capable of opening up defences. As a winger Maeda needs loads of space in behind.
    I also think watching him press centre backs who aren't natural ball players is * hilarious

    I agree about him out wide.

    It's weird cos I've flipped opinion wise with him. That was always an issue I had but he defo improved his technique and end product last year..now my issue is more that I don't think his technique is strong enough to be the kind of striker we need for every game. Some games aye he will be perfect but I do like to have more of an all-rounder there. In an ideal world.

    If he signs a new deal and we have him, Idah and Osmond going for it whilst bringing in 2-3 quality wingers and an attacking mid. Aye. That'll do.

    If we go with Idah, Maeda and Osmand I'd be content as this boy looks the real deal..

    But, only if we sign 2 Wingers of real quality ideally one who can play as ST if needed.. that would give us real flexibility in the final 3rd..
