His form is a concern, we usually look to him to drive the team forward.

Very poor today, back to his usual sideways, back passing, not taking responsibility.
Loath to give him it too tight because I know what he can do and how much he loves his club.
What happened to the absolute monster he was at last old firm game?

I still don't think he's a natural holding 6, but because he's all we've got there he has to play.
He's at best further forward, not having the responsibility of holding the whole team together.

He isn't. He plays better when he has someone there supporting him.

By and large he's been poor this season. His best football unsurprisingly was when Iwata was in the team

He’s been the best player on the park in all of our big games.

In the entire squad, club, infrastructure, he’s right at the bottom of all our problems.

Would be some laugh seeing the board trying to replace him for £1.5m.

All our big games ? He was largely terrible in our CL campaign, offering no protection to the defense as a number 6.. which was highlighted here numerous times.

Against the Huns, aye he's been good.

Best player on the park against Atletico at home.

He looks like he’s lost a yard right enough and aye the back 4 protection ain’t his game.

We’ve been crying out for a proper 6 for years.

Should’ve had a holding midfielder to play beside him and release him further up the park. Unfortunately, it was another position we chose to ignore in both the summer and in January.

Hes another example of a player who isn't looking good in this set up. I think he is a great player but when the whole team seem to move so slowly and side to side, he finds it difficult to speed up play himself. Drop him into a system that works and he would be as good as ever I think.

The best thing that can happen for McGregor is Iwata getting fit and him moving forward, he's not a 6 in a Rodgers team, it worked in Ange's system but not now.

It didn’t work in Europe in Ange’s system either.

The hun game at Parkhead was literally a matter of weeks ago and he was absolutely outstanding.

I definitely think we should be getting more out of him (and several others) but he can play a ‘6’ role no problem at all. Especially domestically.
