    Definitely. Especially when we are playing at home. With the exception of Huns games and maybe Aberdeen & Hearts, we don’t need Brown. McGregor can pull the strings with Christie and Ntcham/Rogic ahead of him.

    I think we need to find a CM to play befind McGregor to give him freedom to play behind the front 3. Either him or Christie in that role.

    Don't want to come across as pedantic, but we were in Dubai for 7 days, and going by footage etc the players were beasted. The Winter Break was not a rest imo.

    Come on! I’m sick of seeing this “oh he needs a rest” crap when a player isn’t playing well.

    They hadn’t played for 19 days until Yesterday. Spent a week in Dubai only training for a few hours a day and then were sunbathing for the rest of it. The “needs a rest” excuse is really wearing thin.

    They are professional footballers, they train a few hours a day and then have the rest of the day to do what they want, most of the time play one game of football a week. What kind of rest do they need?

    It should have been a rest but. Running players into the ground that are already knackered is crazy.

    It seems to be the same methods that Rodgers used.
    Surely our fitness/medical team should have been pushing for more recovery, with different training for the players that needed to get fitter.

    They weren’t rested in Dubai. It was a warm weather training camp. It would have been hard work.
