California mass shooting. Are we apathetic?

My missus and kids go to New York and other spots in the US regularly, I normally * off to other spots and refuse to go...simply because I refuse to step foot in America.

I despise the country and its evolution.

Wish I could disagree with you but I cannot. There is very little to like about the modern day America. I hate to say it though but I truly think much worse is to come if indeed the country continues down the path it is on currently towards becoming a full on authoritarian state. The US behaves that way to a large extent internationally but there have been some democratic breaks up till now that have stopped it turning into another Russia or China as bad as it is already but those breaks I fear are on tin ice right now as the country turns ever further towards the extreme right of authoritarianism domestically.

To be fair to Gerry I live here and I really cannot fault his attitude to the US.

I'm not normally like that matey, and I'm very much live and let live. I've just self conditioned myself. I would love to be convinced otherwise bud.

 

No worries. I totally get where your coming from with the US and as I said in my post above I think worse could be on the way as the US continues to lurch even further to the right towards full on authoritarianism. I live here and I cannot defend how they behave internationally and having lived here as long as I have I can say I cannot stand the Americans unreal level of selfishness and hubris.
