Im glad lennon has continued his winning ways in the spl, very controlled game. delighted beating caley with such ease, i remember the days when strachan used to go there we would struggle always conceded. Lennon has faith in players and is bringing the best out of them, Love how he has faith in McCourt and forrest.

anyone else really impressed with fortune's contribution?

he was direct, strong and unselfish, could have had 2 or 3 assists, had we finished our chnces

good result and kept a clean sheet which is very important. would still like to see the defence improved, but most important was the 3 points to get off to a winning start.

Despite fans showing clear favouritism towards either Samaras or Fortune depending on which one they've decided they like best , there's really nothing much between them.. Both do good work outside the box , both take the wrong option far too often and both try to score from the tightest of angles when the cutback is the obvious option.. Both contributed well today though..

I think with Fortune people will have to accept the notion that he won't score many goals but may bring them by way of assists and hold up play..

Good performance overall other then the first 20 minutes. Second half in particular was very good. Really Inverness were lucky we only got the one goal. But what a goal it was. McCourt didn't get involved all that much but another wonder goal to win it which should give him a great confidence boost. I was also very happy to see Maloney play so well. Missed a great chance early on but otherwise his passing and movement was excellent.

i thought wee maloney did everything right today except stick the ball in the pokey he was differant class and to be fair the wee man knows we have been waiting patiently for him to show why we brought him back if he stays fit this could be a big season for the wee man :50:

still a bit of work to be done but i think we are getting there. A couple of defenders and a solid keeper and we will be fine. Bellamy is a bonus - if we get him then great - if not then so be it. Todays performance is best described as being 'efficient' - we did what we had to without ever really exerting ourselves, and kept a clean sheet in the process. 1 down 37 to go

maloneys finding his touch again-a few games in he be on fire again-paddys ma favourite player in years-if he can stay fit he will score like that 15 times a season, potential POTY,fortune and sammy showed up well today but i still think at least one of them will be moved on soon, young forrest-sitter apart-* *!do we need bellamy on loan when his younger versions on our bench?get shot of brown and sign a gk and defenders and we've got the makings of a good team:86:

    Offensive set pieces

Today, due to the ICT side backs being aware when under pressure, a lot of our crossing attempts ended up as corner kicks. Don't know the exact number, but I think it was around 10. We also had a free kick or two that could be crossed. What bugs me, we didn't score once. Is it due to the takers, or something else? I think Mulgrew's delivery isn't that good, and Maloney's no better. Since Mulgrew is also a defensive liability, I think we can drop him, put Ledley in his spot, and give Ki a spot in the team. I think his set pieces would be more accurate than Mulgrew's.

Your thoughts and ideas on how to fix this?
