Happy with the spirit and fight toaday!!!! now stick the new swede at the back and put jurez in instead of brown and Hooper to finish of teams and I think we might have a team.

    1st half!

for the 1st 30 odd mins we never turned up tbh here! paddy never done anything and brown was poor. we kept giving away the ball too cheaply(that has to be adressed asap!)

    2nd half!

it was pure dominance from us ! we eventualy woke up and played some fantastic 1 and 2 touch football to which i enjoyed! paddy`s goal was one of pure brilliance. our link up play was also fantastic. ledley i thought played very well tbh and shaun maloney was excellent too.and also we were solid for a change at the back so that is pleasing too. overall a very good start to the season and im looking forward to us clicking better soon.

Don't want to get my hopes up too much but a lot of that play in the second half was * superb.

Cha was great going forward but the one big question asked of him defensively , as he did against Braga , he failed to answer it..

He's marking Nick Ross and the ball is swung over from the right and he completely mistimes his header and the ICT player behind him works the keeper..
If the player has a bit more composure he can chest that ball down and he's favourite to beat the keeper..

    couple more gifs..

    Save from Forrest's shot

probably the best chance to go 2-0 up.. Forrest's shot over the bar..

How can people be happy with taking 50 minutes to wake up and start playing football? If ICT had scored a couple in the first half (which, let's be honest, they should have) It would be a completely different story. Our defence looked good because Caley didn't take there chances in the 1st half and didn't make an effort in the 2nd.

Cha Du Ri looks great going forward but he's a liability at the back. Samaras didn't once fulfill his duties of lone striker. Charlie Mulgrew was a bombscare. Scott Brown has proved yet again that he should, if anything, be playing in an AM position rather than DM and Zaluska wasn't tested all that much. We had 70-30 possession yet still only scored one goal. After being lucky to ride the wave of ICT during the first half, if we face a better caliber of opposition in the future with that same performance we will get hammered.

It's the same old story, concede tons of goals in the first half then too little too late in the second.

1st half was quite poor. Much better in the 2nd half looked really good. Thought Maloney looked excellent aswell. If we can create that amount of chances for Hooper when he is fit then i would feel confident he would put them away. Impressed with Forrest when he came on and as for McCourts goal ............. no words to describe it:icon_mrgreen:.

I hope and pray that Maloney can stay fit as i thought he was outstanding today his link up play was second to none.

    Well played Celtic,

Paddy played brilliant, what a goal from him !

And unlucky Forrest for not getting a goal, very happy with the performance and we still have 10 mil to tweak the defence :icon_mrgreen:.

First day of the season mucker, don't worry about it. Players playin together properly for about 2 weeks, it'll get better, don't you worry your wee head about it. They won and looked pretty good at times. What's your problem?

I have to say Maloney proved me wrong today. I haven't been a fan of him in quite some time but he looked great in the middle. Should have scored though and shouldn't have tried to assassinate Paddy.

Relived to be honest. Thought Shaun was our best player and Cha is a real asset going forward. Young Forrest looks like the real deal and also made a right good solid challenge on one of their players and won the ball which was good for a young boy.

Not wanting to slate our captain but he really need to work on his weight of pass. Like the rest, he got better second half.

Could have scored a barrowload but also could have lost a couple in that first half.

    Overall, quite pleased :50:

celtic oviously were a different team in the second half, but what i saw different was they looked EXCITING to watch, everytime they gothe ball the other team members were supporting and creating chances

what a start to the season in a tricky tie it has to be said ,,malony for me man of the match

keys to the city for paddy mccourt for the goal, superb

the whole team were great,, fortune looked a different player,
i just wish yous would get off mcgrews back ,he was in a back four who kept a clean sheet today,,at least wait untill he * up before wishing it upon him...give the guy a break
