so we've apparently offered him a new 5 year deal and 2 of the biggest clubs in italian football are chasing him, sounds highly unlikely to me

Unless we got some ridiculous amount of money for him e.g. £10mil, i wouldnt want to sell him.
Of course, this is if the rumour is true. -
If he doesn't want to sign a new deal and fight for his place he can GTF!
Sell him for 2-4m to anyone that is daft enough to pay it, he should be grateful he is getting 20,000 a week, his chances will be limited this season anyway!! -
