    Almost identical to Boyata.

Good in the tackle, good in the air, good overall defender, a threat at set pieces, capable of making a * of it by being over ambitious on the ball.

Loovens was too soft as well. I remember him getting bullied by Kenny Miler at Ibrox when he scored twice.

I had a feeling Brighton would get knocked out by Sheff Wed. Getting so close to going up automatically, only to miss out on the last day of the season would have been hard to bounce back from, and so it has proven.

I never really rated him. Bit cumbersome and basic I thought..

I remember jellyfish giving him a nightmare for Rapid Vienna also..

Loovens was very average I thought, never rated him he'd be well down the list of our centre-backs in recent years. Caldwell, Majstrovic, O'Dea and McManus were better than him.

Very clumsy player and also for a big strong guy was powderpuff at times.

My only one good memory of him is when we won 6-0 to win the League at Rugby Park, I think he scored in it and he also went on a mad Tony Adams like run right up the park and nearly scored which was hilarious as he'd never done anything like it before.
