Agree ref backroom staff. Very strange.
They've been here across several managers, so why leave - especially if giving up rest of contract by doing so.

More I think about, it really is the last desperate act of a board that will be gone soon

 

We already know what happened. The board punted our best players for a small fortune then refused to sign the level of players required to replace them.

They are hoarding money for some inexplicable reason. They have never communicated why, they're even paying millions in corporation tax which could have been spent on players instead and reduced the tax liability overall. We could have had two £6m players for free basically, and they still couldn't sign anyone.

We might have money in the bank now, but the quality on the park is the same as what it was in the 90s, and for the same reason. Complete mismanagement by the * running us. This is a crisis

If we agree that Rodgers resigned (as the club says), then we have to accept that John Kennedy, the poster boy for Job for the Bhoys has also walked away from the safest most secure job in football history


Why would he do that mid season? Unless it was in support of Rodgers? Internal wars! This is a battle between the football staff and the board.
The board think they've won.

Rodgers I hope proves they haven't.

You think that O'Neill knew he was going to be managing Celtic this evening when he was on Talksport this morning tipping Hearts for the title?

 

I'll miss Rodgers but what a shambles it has been.

 

The board have played a blinder here. Refuse to take any responsibility and then maintain radio silence knowing that Rodgers would have to face the media twice a week and watch the anger and frustration gradually turn from them towards him. They really hung him out to dry.

 

Maybe they backed him in protest. Kennedy leaving after 27 years is telling in itself.

 

I reckon it might have something to do with a non disclosure. Rodgers can spill it all because he hasn’t accepted a pay off.

I was tipping Hearts for the title this morning, I'm not necessarily tipping them anymore.

The board are running with the story that they offered backing fro what looks like if Brendan signs a new contract he then denied their was talks if you got a guy lying to press about a contract your not gonna sign the players that cost money he’s asked for as he’s not gonna be their in a years time

They will use that as their shield both culpable in this sorry mess

He was bigging up the Huns last time he joined. Also it'd lube listeners up for Rodgers leaving by making they statements saying Celtic won't win the league. It stinks

Pressure on the board and Desmond shouldn't stop though. The entire club needs nuked and reset.
