His head was clearly not in it the last few months. Hope he will come out and set the story straight. Actually refreshing to hear hes resigned rather than paid off as it hopefully shows he cares.

Brendan clearly lost things behinds the scenes, I would say the dressing room too.

He got * over this summer, no doubt about it regarding the recruitment.

But, there has been red flags over the last 18 months, can’t beat the Zombies, not changing his tactics, team lines ups and then subs.

His stubbornness too, it was time for him to go.

Now regarding the board, they are the main cancer at the club and we need them * gone before we can actually move forward and progress as a club.

The board will be hoping MON can front out the pressure, coming their way..

I do think he had to go tbh, and if he stayed and lost next week his position would be untenable. Our football has been rancid for months now, and whilst the board are a bigger problem, he certainly wasn't blameless.

Still, its * its came to this, and whilst im okay with MON and Maloney for the interim, we cannot have them for the season.

    He’s an excellent coach.

As long as he stays as a coach.

I'm sickened by it. The board have won and as I previously said the general who leads the battle seldom wins the war. I don't think we will fair any better under MON et, al. The clubs an out and out joke.

Well. * me. What can I say? Hopefully MON can get the team motoring for a bit until a new manager comes in.

I respect that he resigned I just wish it was as soon as the window closed and he had everyone on side. The board have absolutely * this beyond what they usually achieve

It was coming, I’m glad it’s now rather than few weeks down the line with more horrendous performances.

Now go get Marco Rose, wanted him years ago.

We need someone to come in with their own guys. Strip it entirely. Fresh start is needed.

Wow!! Incredible. However not completely surprising. Seems to be on the cards as MON in so quickly. For all the failings of the board Rodgers was not doin enough with his tools imo.
Board also suggested that a permanent appointment may be sooner rather than later.
What a mess though. From both us and huns. Hearts must be rubbing their hands.

No more Irish managers?…. Step forward Saint Martin of Derry - Martin O’Neill is manager.

It's an interim team. The vast experience of Martin O'Neil and youtfulness and ambition of Sean Maloney. Two right good Celtic men.

No point in getting our knickers in a twist over this, this could actually save our season.

My guess is, we have three preferred candidates for the job already, no names, no pack drill. :giggle1:
