I could deal with a Maloney/Kennedy or whatever until January if that was worse case. Something is seriously wrong between BR and, probably PL, and it's running through the club like poison.

My only hope is in his first season I remember wanting him away early in the season after we lost at home to Hearts 2-0, when we were the same. Playing dire, creating nothing and dropping points but he turned it round. Just don't have any faith in him doing the same now, knowing he's out the door at the end of the season anyway.

I’m still hopeful he turns it around because I don’t like firing and hiring managers in the middle of a season, we need a rebuild in the summer and I want everything starting over fresh with a clean slate like we had under ange.
If we address the striker and especially right wing positions in the jan window I think it will make a huge difference.
I still don’t think hearts will maintain thier current run, all it takes is one stumble for the doubt to creep in.

People need calm down. We gifted hearts that victory.
They wouldn’t won without og and penalty and our players missing sitters.
We played well in first half and should been 3-1 up at half time.

If we lose to the huns, he's away. If they change their manager and bounce ahead of us, we'll follow suit.

That doesn't mean it's all his fault but that doesn't matter. They're not going to sign him new players, they'll get a new manager in and make a few moves in the winter window.

I had a bit of sympathy for Rodgers at the start of the season mainly due to his lack of backing from the board however, I'm beginning to think that his heart's not in it anymore and some of his team selections are bewildering to say the least. I think it's best all round if he goes as it's obvious that there's been a total relationship breakdown between all concerned, which I don't think can be resurrected

For me the whole discussion around how good a manager Brendan is/who we could get to replace him is almost immaterial at this stage. We've all watched the game long enough to know that there just comes a point sometimes when the atmosphere is so toxic at a club that you need a change, and that change can suddenly shift the whole narrative.

This is only going one way and we're sticking our heads in the sand if we think it'll change. Change now, get a win with a new manager under our belt, players trying to impress etc. and we maybe have a shot at turning it around.

It’s the Brendan, Brendan, Brendan hoax. His fault that we get results like that when we have 6 starters who would do well to get a game for a bottom 6 SPL team.

The Board play on this hoax as it lets them off the hook. And fans are falling for it hook line and sinker.

Rodgers prophesied this in August when he said when the fans start shouting Sack the Board, then it is the manager who gets the cut in due course. His word are there. And this is the hoax perpetuating itself.

Rodgers isn’t without blame. Not dropping Hatate is grinding on me. However this is small fry stuff compared to the bigger picture.

There's an argument against changing too early as well though. New manager comes in while several players still out and the window's a long way off. Could be in and out as quick as Martin in that scenario. You need to set yourself up for the new manager bounce, it's not guaranteed.

I liked this then thought about it.

Current form, tactics and decision making it's actually debatable.

I think you are probably right but how poor Rodgers has been and that he's not changing anything it's getting a very close call.

I don't expect the board to do anything regardless, so it's academic, but Rodgers is very much part of the problem.

If he gets punted then I’d take Scott Brown on an interim basis for the rest of this season.

Purely because we need someone that will command respect and drive high standards. There’s a lot to be said for tactics but they are secondary to attitude and desire. Right now we need someone to come in and change up the mood of the club.

I don’t want us appointing a permanent manager until next summer because hopefully Nicholson, Lawwell etc will have been chased by then.

Not sure he would go for it but he’s the only Celtic man that I’d trust to go in there and make a difference at the moment.

The concern with appointing an interim manager is that we don’t strengthen in Jan.

    In a nutshell.

The debate over how good or not Rodgers is or whether we can get a better manager isn’t it. Does Rodgers have a better CV than others managers we can attract? Aye probably.

Is he, currently, the best person for the job? I don’t think so. He’s showing he can’t get a tune out of pretty much every player in the squad. Who is performing anywhere near their max?

When it gets to that stage it becomes a coaching/managerial issue.

The whole “new manager bounce” that we see so often isn’t always because the new manager is better than the previous manager. It’s just a fresh voice and a new energy about the place. Players who maybe were sick of the previous guy and felt shackled are now more free to express themselves.

We ripped Rangers to bits when they brought in Barry Ferguson. He got better results than the guy before him and the guy after him because he just got the players working hard. And he beat Rodgers.

Im not saying it would be right to ditch Rodgers for a Maloney/Lennon/Brown/Oneil. It shows an absolute lack of planning and vision. But honestly Im not sure how much worse the team on the park would look compared to what we are used to watching now. I think about the last couple of games, last few games against Rangers, the cup final, the 2 legs against Kairat, and really I dont have much to fear about swapping Rodgers for anyone right now.

His attitude, his arrogance, his baffling team selections, his rubbish subs, the way he ostracises members of the squad (including his expensive signings), his * signings, his turgid football, his reluctance to try anything else, his deflection tactics in interviews, his throwing of players under the bus, his backing of the board and Desmond, his inability to win big games, his moping and moaning, his wee stupid clap..

    I'm * sick of him.

The things that worries me is that this board are so far in the far ages that if Rodger’s goes they approach Steve Clarke or Michael oneill or someone like that

Get rid and bring Ange back now to give him a chance before next window..
    Make Sinisalo 1st choice keeper.
Drop CalMac for a few games.
Stop doing a Lennon passing sideways and backwards.
    Stop being afraid to tackle.
    * attack and hit the * ball towards goal.
As McGrory said ( if I get the ball I hit it towards the net.
That’s how he scored 550 career goals.

In all honesty, the situation with Brendan confuses me now. He isn't 100% to blame but surely should be getting more out of this team. Reo and mcgregor seem to be getting worse on the weekly and nygren is not the player I thought we were getting. But is that on Brendan, the answer probably has to be yes.

On the other hand, say we so relieve Brendan of his role - who comes in and will it actually improve anything?

Brendans cv and past honours here suggests he is still the man to get the best out of the players. The is a real possibility that if we did sack him that we could appoint someone that gets even less out of this team.

We lacked depth before losing aj, ccv, kalechi and daizen. That backline today has similar levels of quality to many other teams in this division. That's the reality of it.

So to summarise - we have no recognisable goal scorer in the team. A backline that is in no way completely superior to most of our competition. And a completely dysfunctional midfield. I think it's only the last point that is clearly on Brendan.

Not sure there would be any real improvement post Rodgers.

We need to keep as close to hearts as possible until Jan. The board need to either * off or try to make this right with real quality additions.

Unfortunately, I fear too much damage has already been done. We will more than likely drop more points between now and Christmas to.

Going to be a very long season this
