More like the stomach to pay him off.

Id imagine Lawwell would love to sack him but would loathe paying him off

I don't think there's any sort of argument for keeping him. Has he even been offered a new contract or shown interest in signing a new one? Couple that with the comments made about his players and their lack of fight for him.

Don't think brendan will say.much in the post.match. I think he will say to the board let's finish this today and they split

We don't like parting with money, that's true.
But Rodgers has cost us £40M already, and we are going to lose a whole shed more money if he lingers on self sabotaging.
Give him a £2M golden handshake, and tell him to * off back to his sun lounger in Malaga :giggle1:

I can’t see a situation where he gets sacked to be honest. He’d need to lose 3-4 league games in a row which I don’t think we’ll do.

I’ve always had my issues with Rodgers but if this season goes * up it’s Michael Nicholson/the board/Lawwell’s fault alone.

I wouldn't be against letting him go now but I doubt it happens.

It still doesn't change the fact that most of the reasons for us being in this situation falls on the board. But he can't escape criticism now.

Don't really know where we go from here.

I'm not sure guardiola could get this shower of * playing well. What gets me more than anything is the players we punt out on loan/sell for pennies to what we have now. Welsh, Nawrocki or Lagerbielke would have been better options than Murray. Luis Palma a better option than Balakwisha.

Putting in Murray over Trusty was criminal today. Not starting Ralston over Donovan to use his experience just as bad.

I can see us losing 4 out of 5 or 6 which the same thing to me

Get rid now with Maloney etc until January and hopefully can entice a decent manger in with a healthy summer budget guaranteed!

Before a ball is kicked every manager in the league would pick to have the Celtic squad over every other squad in the league because it is simply the best squad and best players.

To be 8 adrift, playing so poorly and meekly losing today. Simple question...is Rodgers getting the best out of this team?? The answer is no, not by a long way & that is the managers fault. Not the board, on this occasion.

    And now heres my...
BIG FAT * TOLD YA SO.

But seriously its really not a gloat. Some of us just feared exactly this.

We need to act fast and make the decision before the season slips any further down the drain.

Money needs to be made available immediately for a REAL replacement, and a promised budget in January.

In fact, the board might actually look at this like a victory; we were afraid to gie him money and now our reluctance is justified, we were holding it back in case we needed to bin him.

Utter bollocks of course. But just enough fans might actually buy it.

Either way hes done. Hes got to go.

What made us so successful for the last 4 years is playing with inverted full backs. Ange used 2, Rodgers changed it to 1 and now to 0. We are so slowing the build up now and having full backs who do nothing other than pass the ball to our CBs

Presser on sky, he's unusually hesitant whilst also blaming the players for not following instructions.

Never mentioned selection or any fault his side.
    Just generic sound bytes.

He got plenty wrong today and deserves criticism after that. Playing Murray and Donovan together on the right side of that defence was a big gamble that didn't pay off. Hatate stayed on the park for far too long after a shocking first half. Hindsight is wonderful but I can't see us conceding those 3 goals had he started Trusty in place of Murray. I'm not convinced we could have scored the goals needed to win convincingly though. Really poor attacking options and again Nygren wastes a complete sitter that he needs to be putting away. Shocking 2nd half today and poor use of subs from Brendan. 2 league games in a row where he's got more wrong than right. I've defended him on here but that's not good enough again today.

Even with a near fully fit squad we’ve been miles off it, 3 years is the most Rodgers does at clubs because it becomes stale as *.

I wanted Iraola instead of him, we need a manager that has that Ange style of football but can also be pragmatic. Get rid of Rodgers now cause we aren’t winning * with him because it will get toxic as *.

What's obvious now is he's just coasting until the end of his contract but won't leave after the last time.
