To be honest mate, not sure I'm having this.

Every single hun team he's come up against, he's absolutely swatted them aside. He's seen off so many hun managers now that the go-to excuse from the hun support is that "he's no come up against a decent Rangers team". Find it a bit annoying when a fellow Celtic fan feels like that too.

Just look at last season when Rangers were building a head of steam under Clement. Rodgers put a stop to it and steamrolled his way to a double against them. So much so that he set them back into a spiral as a football club and have been left firefighting this season.

He's dealt with decent Rangers teams. The huns just can't stand the fact they can never get the better of him.

Rangers will only ever be a "decent team" in their eyes when they beat us to a title.

Rangers finished 3rd in his first two seasons with us.

Again you can only beat whats in front of you but I wouldn’t have fancied him to beat their 20/21 team. When they were undeniably a good side.

True, I'm not saying there haven't been poor sides. But he's beaten them all, and they weren't all poor.

He was cruising it against Gerrard too before he left. And then dealt with Clement's team when they were firing.

They've got the better of him a couple of times this season. W

My worry is this season has felt like a bit of a shift. His record against he huns has been excellent...but our performances against them this season (in 4 of the 5 games) have been miles off it. His record at Hampden was perfect. This season we've been taken to penalties twice, losing once.

The air of being untouchable is quickly disappearing.

They've won a couple of head to heads. They got draws at Celtic Park during their * seasons too. When you play a team 4 times a season there are always going to be games where they give you a * nose. Especially if you're talking about the second best team in the country.

I'm mainly talking about over the course of a season.

I'm by no means a blind follower of Rodgers, but it's gonna be * hilarious when we come back next season, refreshed and raring to go, and we start slapping teams about again.

Some people just have no idea what objectivity even means.

He's created some of those problems.

Our best players under Rodgers since his return have been Johnston, CCV, McGregor, O'Riley, Hatate, Maeda, Kyogo and Kuhn (half a season).

It's pretty easy to spot the trend.

Thought his game management and subs were poor today but he’s still a class manager. Should definitely take his fair share of blame today but no worries about him going forward

Aye it's fair enough if it happens occasionally.

We played them 5 times this season and beat them once in 90 minutes. Conceded 3 goals against them in 3 consecutive matches. Lost at home to Barry Ferguson. That's quite simply unacceptable.

Aye. On winning their first trophy in 11 years, on coming through four rounds before today, on winning a game they were rank outsiders for.

It’s their day today, fair play. I was at least glad to see our players and management handle the defeat gracefully.

But as I said, both teams were terrible. It was a truly terrible game, but they’re perfectly entitled to play the way they think best designed to get them a result.

Rodgers has seen many teams try to play this way against Celtic all season and point blank refuses to rethink what he’s asking his players to do - or is overestimating the ability certain individuals have to come up with a moment of quality when faced with a deep defense.

Taking both Engels and Bernardo off and moving Taylor into the midfield needs questioned... even tho both were pish does moving Greg Taylor into midfield improve us?

Aye but we've walked away with another double, which is the point. The individual games against Rangers haven't been good enough this season admittedly, but we're the ones with the silverware.

So over the course of this season, just like every season he's been here, he's toppled the huns.

I mean this season he struggled to beat a failed Blackpool manager and a bald fraud that was 15 points behind us.

I sound doom and gloom but I'm concerned if we come up against a hun team that beats the muck and puts 90+ points on the board how we'd cope.

To be fair, Mourinho failed to beat Ferguson too. Ange couldn't beat Clement etc. Individual games aren't the best barometer of a manager's capability.

He's won another double. Not the treble we craved, but it's been a successful year including the progress in Europe.

Granted there's a separate argument to be had about the enjoyment of our playing style etc.

As ever I don't fear the Huns, I fear complacency and poor activity in the transfer market will be our ultimate undoing.

Too many blind spots for players who don’t deserve to start.

Same, if we were competent in the transfer market i don't think we'd have an issue but because we're not if they put together a decent squad that capable of beating the the dross we'll be in danger of losing the league.

This is mostly Ange’s’ players!!! That’s the issue. We have not progressed at all. I am a BR supporter, we need a good summer transfer wise. We’ve had a really good season, 2 trophies and a statement CL campaign. Get rid of the deadwood and move on.

Can’t win them all - a league and cup double is still a good season on paper plus we had a few good performances in Europe.

However it’s been underwhelming from a performance perspective. Too many times I’ve been at games or watched us on TV and been bored. Side to side, pedestrian paced football.

Second best in derby games and second best today in a huge final.

The squad simply isn’t good enough and I usually lay the blame for that at the door of the boardroom but I think Rodgers is mostly at fault. £9m on Idah and £11m on Engels - £20m spent on players who haven’t improved us at all. I’m not saying they are terrible but have they improved us?

Over his two spells here his eye for a player has been disappointing overall. With one year left on his deal and us needing to do a mini-rebuild, I’m not convinced he will be backed because of his contact situation but also his inability to spend well.

The only thing I think you could lay at the boards door is not replacing Kyogo when he left in January but that resulted in Maeda playing out his skin through the middle. Rodgers has absolutely been backed but his signings do not represent value for money (yet at least) and that's why I'm apprehensive about him overseeing a squad overhaul in the summer
