This is gonna be * rage inducing next season....Can see him genuinely blaming every * again if it all goes * up and he walks away.

Hes gonna start moaning at players not being brought in during Summer then hold onto that most of the season as a get out of jail card....can read this like a story in a scud book.

If he says hes here for the season he better smarten up fast.....His signings have been shocking...His tactics a mess and its been boring as * a majority of this season....he needs to try other things now.

And start with getting players in like Miller as we need someone here like this for Cal to take under his wing.....Not 11 million on a guy that hits corners.

And another penalty shootout from matching the Huns on trophies this season.

A season they sacked their manager, and had * all money for players whereas he spent the guts of £30m+ on players.

He conspired to beat them only once at the start of the season then lose twice and draw twice - two games against pundits. Now he’s lost a cup final against utter dross that gave him 80 minutes of free hits.

I’m not saying he should be sacked or he hasn’t been a success overall, but none of that is good enough giving his wages and his backing in transfers.

Besides all that, the football is * dire waaaaaayyy too often. It’s been a strong sentiment among the support with him since the invincible season.

I thought he * it with the 3 subs after an hour, knowing fine well we had no other options on the bench. No need for it. I get Kuhn and Idah were rotten but to put it bluntly they usually are and we were 1 nil up. No need to commit so early to so many changes in my opinion.

Don't care if we won today, I just don't like watching his teams. It's horrendous to watch us not attack these diddy teams from the 1st minute to the last.

    Without engels no goal.

Idah had started the 2nd half brightly. You'd seriously take both off for Yang and McCowan? £20m spent and can't last 90 in a cup final.

The engels one annoyed me more. Bernardo hasn't finished a 90 in months and he leaves him on with 30 to play minimum and only a goal up. Our two best pen takers too.

    Stupid

I'm not so sure. He's in the final year of his contract and hasn't shown that if we spend big he's going to improve the players enough (so far at least) to warrant that outlay. That performance and result doesn't improve matters so I don't see him being backed to any great extent in the summer, despite big changes being needed.

I fear we are looking at a season of hoping to qualify for the CL with what we have, hoping they implode again and we canter to the league, then a reset when he goes next summer when we'll probably appoint Broony as he's an ex player and Lenny isn't going to wash this time...

Arrogantly thinks his way is the only way to play football and persists with it whatever the situation or opposition and when it’s clearly not working.
It looks like our wingers are told not to cross the ball but pass the ball back if there's any chance of them losing possession. But you have to risk losing possession to score a goal. Guys like Idah get stick but how many crosses, cut backs or balls across the 6 yard box came in today. I can hardly remember any. It's actually a miracle he scored 20 goals this season.
We rarely play a long pass in behind a defence. It would have been hard to do today but against the huns there have been numerous times a long pass in front of Maeda or Kuhn would have put them in on the keeper but we don't play those passes ever.
No wonder Kyogo got depressed and left.

I wasn't really talking about Engels to be honest, should have made that more clear. Was Idah

I said after the win at Pittodrie a few weeks back that is was our best display for ages. The team looked fresh, inventive and won the game at a canter. Unfortunately the manager then brought his favourites back into the side and we've had 2 games of stale, predictable, half-arsed rubbish. If BR had actually picked our strongest 11 on form today then Sinisalo, Nawrocki, McCowan and Forrest would have started instead of KS, Scales, Engels and Kuhn. We may still have lost but I doubt it. 80%+ possession today and we created almost nothing because it was all sideways or backwards. A performance straight out of the tail-end of Rodgers 1st spell here. The early part of the season had me thinking we were improving and were really gonna kick-on but it's proved a false dawn. For 3 cup finals in a row we have been awful, thankfully we still won 2 but it's papering over the cracks. 4 games in a row against sevco we've been dire too. 0 domestic defeats up to Christmas. 5 since. Not exactly heading in the right direction even if we have won 2 trophies. It's pointless debating what we need in terms of players or tactics because it's the same as we needed last summer and the one before and the one before and....We'll get the same transfer dealings, the same imbalance to the squad, the same tactics, the same flaws and weaknesses as before. Hopefully sevco remain so bad it won't make a difference.

Engels is * pure pish mate.

£11m for corners and penalties. He's every * red flag that you need to say Rodgers shouldn't be trusted with money

Winning a double two years in a row is absolutely bare minimum he should be doing. We have finances to dwarf every club in the league. And our usual rivals have went through two managers in that time.

The whole “spoiled” or “entitled” argument is a red herring. Look at the state of Scottish football these last few years. Winning four trophies out of 6 is nothing more than we should expect.

If anyone isn’t concerned about what’s to come they’re kidding themselves on. Rangers have been rotten this season and we’ve beaten them once in 90 minutes - back at the start of the season. We’ve needed penalties in both cup finals, losing one against * Aberdeen.

Two trophies. Great. Did okay in Europe. Great. But our style of football, and our level of performance in a number of high profile domestic games have been * shocking.

The triple change was very unnecessary. Engels was very involved in the game, where Bernardo just wasn't in it at all. So strange.

I'd have taken Bernardo off too, but tbh, Engels wasnt great. Hit the post but otherwise pretty poor. Expect way more
