He’s on the brink of managing in the Premiership… he’s not coming here.

This time last year we beat Aberdeen 1-0. Jota and Starfelt played, who aren’t here anymore. Palma and Scales in their place, two of the better players this season.

    Hatate played and he’s injured.

Recruitment wasn’t good enough but its an absolute myth that this squad of players is bad or nor good enough to be out of sight this season.

Management has equal blame as the board. Rodgers has handled this season awfully, Lennon levels of implosion.

Mate I think he's out of our reach unfortunately. He's very highly rated and will most likely be an EPL manager next year, back to back promotions is incredible.

They play some really nice stuff too. Very positive and progressive.

Agreed. Strange tactics, strange substitutions, no fight, no mentality… woeful.

Don’t think replacing him changes as much as what people think though. The club needs change from top to bottom.

    Kyogo. A phenomenon
A lazy, yet expensive appointment that simply won’t work out.

We are a shadow of the side we should be.

The standard of football is * chronic. Even in victory.

As I said last week, we are second favourites to win the league and that is unforgivable

Aye, there's only so you can excuse Rodgers. I fully backed him before the Killie result, but today was the last straw.

Dropping countless points to teams out of form, and at home as well. I don't doubt that the abysmal summer window is a major part of our form, but dropping 7 points at home before the new year is a new low.

Said it at the time we should have went all out for Iraola, instead we settled for an easy choice who failed at Leicester after * us off at the first chance.

Even if we go on and win the league, Rodgers is never the answer.

Rodgers interview - his tone of voice sounds like a beaten man. He knows he is in trouble

    He is a * manager.

    End of.

I said it last week, he's a paycheck manager who can't operate without a big budget. His tactics are found out and his man management is obviously in the toilet.
Even Leicester players he personally signed were slating him in the rags.

He used to be a very good manager, not anymore. He's behind the times tactically, can't organise a defence to save his life and our treble winning squad, which should be at least 11 points clear is staring down the barrel of behind a point BEHIND, maybe more, come derby day.

That's not to mention the appalling regression of some of our players which he is solely responsible for.

As for what do we get next? Agreed, the danger of Desmond is that he thinks he knows football, and he knows * all. We could end up with Stephen * Kenny, just because he's Irish.

    But here's an expansive list;

    Not maybe Scales, definitely Scales.

It’s not a * a squad either, it’s not the best one we’ve ever had but it’s got more than enough quality to win these games.

Compare this squad to the one Ange Postecoglou had in December of his first season.

That Decemeber we had to play David Turnbull up front due to a lack of strikers. He scored to make it 1-0 to beat Motherwell, we had a completely decimated squad, which was poor to begin with and we ground out win after win. It was steely, it was gritty, it was absolutely acceptable because we were all aware he was working miracles with what he had at that time - big players stood up to be counted because Ange put that onus and trust on them, Tam Rogic that December won us the league and he stood up due to the mentality Ange bred in that team, and the trust, faith, backing that he put into him to be there for him. He got an extra year out of Tam than Rogic apparently wanted, because they had a previous connection. And by *, did that work.

They style, the pretty and exciting football was out the window for sheer grit, determination and working harder than anycunt else until we had the opportunity to sort the squad out.

Compare that to now, we feel sorry for ourselves we’ve been unlucky with injuries, we have an unearned and frankly useless swagger about us at times, that we don’t have the ethic to prove we deserve.

The players look scared to take a chance and do something different, they look like nervous to change it up and break the lines and be unpredictable, they look nervous to not do the safe pass (Palma and at times when he gets * off Turnbull aside there).

He talks about work rate and intensity, but it’s not there at all when we know for a fact these players can have that, the intensity of most of these guys last year is frightening. Then you look at it individually, players are still working Kyogo’s still shutting down like *, and making runs. Maeda’s just Maeda, you can’t switch that intensity off, O’Riley’s pressuring and shutting down is off the scale this season. But thats it, it’s individually, not as a team.

The team much like the last season Rodgers was in charge before he left look overcoached to me, not allowed any freedom, not got the backing of the manager to try something different incase it loses possession or doesn’t work out. It’s safe, turgid, static football.

He's a poor manager. We have some quality players in our team and we struggle against Killie, Hearts and St Johnstone. His tactics are dated and he's getting tactically shat on by McInness and Naismith.

His ego has * ruined us. Appalling tactics and man management. The board ran cap in hand to him in the summer. Sentimental appointment but lazy in the extreme from the dinosaurs in the boardroom. Get Desmond, Lawwell and the rest of the * running our club to *.

Says he isn't surprised that we were essentially *.

He's lost the dressing room. If he stays the league is gone.

I wanted him back, thought he was the outstanding candidate but it's clear he doesn't know what to do so is just turning on the players.

Great post. I was on the fence about Scales, purely because his quality was probably already there but for whatever reason was overlooked by Ange and Rodgers until injuries meant he was forced to play.

Agree with the rest whole heartedly.
