Really harrowing news to wake up to. Obviously it's just talks right now but leaving us mid season when the league isnt won is extremely poor from Rodgers.

If he waits until the end of the season he goes with everyones blessings. Otherwise he won't be looked back on well.

Celtic have every say in it, they've received sizeable compensation offer then gave their permission, the ball starts with the board.

The board could say, sorry * off, don't care what you offer, at this stage of the season we are not allowing our manager to leave for anyone.

They didn't, they saw the money and cashed in.

I think the timing for him leaving isn't the best. Why mid way through a treble treble season?
At the end of the season I fully expected him to go, who wouldn't? He has been * over too many times by lawell and the board. Promises made but never followed through. I think when you ha e a manager like Rodgers, he needs the players he wants in order for him to fulfil his duties. We went for x amount of players, ended up with the likes of Hendry, Mulumbu etc. A £5m carrot dangling in front of the board. They would be jumping out there beds early, putting on their good suits and driving Rodgers to Leicester. Lennon should get us over the line on the league, we will have to wait and see what happens next season, moyes? Lennon? We won't get another manager like Rodgers again.

I hope the board come out and make a proper, honest statement. There’s been rumours that it was Rodgers who insisted he be allowed to speak to to Leicester. It makes everthing he’s said about being a fan and very happy, very very shallow now. I’m truth- detractors of him outwith the club have always said this about him. This is a very snake like manoeuvre for me and it seems he was merely pandering to the fans, using our love for the club to blind us from his true motives. There is no way he is one of us by jumping ship in Feb. And Dont be fooled if he comes out saying he hasn’t been backed by the board as to why he left. He’s been backed plenty. And he gave us Congerton and let’s not forget We’ve gone backwards in the last year. Perhaps a change is needed. Personally I’d break the bank for Eddie Howie now.

Honestly don’t know why anyone is surprised or gutted. No such thing as loyalty in footy and hasn’t been for about a century.

The team should win the treble with a dog as manager and Rodgers was always off the second an EPL team called.

Board giving him * all didn’t exactly help. 8 mill for Armstrong 20 mill for Dembele now 5-8 compensation plus 2 years CL money we ‘don’t budget for’ not a net penny spent in anger.

his record is undeniable, the form of the team has been no worse then it was under WGS or Lennon, yet Rodgers has swept up everything domestically.

In Europe, we are holding out for years since gone, trying to achieve anything decent in europe (last 16 of CL or Qauters of EL) is utterly achievable.

    • All that has actually happened is that LCFC have asked for prmission to speak with BR.
    • The club have given the ok for this.

Some journos/media outlets find this out and blow it out of all proportion saying he is always gone.

    • BR wlll have the talks, to test the waters and gauge reactions, to rattle the cage and see what shakes loose.
    • Already links coming in that BR and potentially Chelsea job also now.
    • It may be LCFC but they are not getting relegated and won't be winning anything, so there is no hurry here.
My gut instinct says that BR will see out the rest of the season with us, to finish the job but is exploring his options and next move for the summer.

    BR thanks for the memories...

Lennon has unfinished business and will give the team the aggression and fight it has missed.

    10iar is on.

I can see a few of the delicate flowers in our squad are in for a shock if Neil takes over. Is Efe still without a club ?:fear::giggle1:
