  2. I agree with this ,has that weakened his hand in the summer .

  3. His one criticism which is widely used is his unwillingness to adapt and change his style.

Even if just temporary, if he could just go with a more direct game for the next 6-7 weeks in the league and just get something different going then we might see games open up as every has got used to our current style which everyone can predict.

I didn't say we should not improve our squad. We should have bought in the summer and qualified for the CL. Having only to recognised senior strikers in our squad is unacceptable. We are going to need to at least to quality CBs for next season as were losing both Boyata and Benkovic. We also need a left winger who wants to play

  6. He's been backed no differently to other managers, ok fair enough that might not look like the case when you see Eddie come in for an alleged Club record fee.

But he, like any other manager is being backed in line with player sales/European money. Every manager in their first season is usually given a decent wack of money, I think it was only Lennon that wasn't as he was largely given the McGeady sale. So when you look again at the backing he's had this summer and see that we had VVD money and Armstong money coming in then spending what we have on Eddie and then a couple other guys on like Benkovic is no different to previous managers which is utterly ridiculous and that is where the board need hounding and beating over their heads.

  7. I don't think we did, he visited Villa Park 8th Aug and said later he..." felt right there" ... and saw promotion to the EPL with Villa in the immediate future with all the dosh that brings.

If he had wanted to come to us he would be here, he didn't. We were leverage for Hibs to get a good price

Agree with other comments about Edouard and Boyata though...

Agree McGinn was never coming to Celtic, if he wanted to go he would have left far earlier than he did. He would have only gone if no other team came in. He's even said he didn't think he would get game time and it put him off.

With regards to being backed, I think when you look at the players such as Rogic, Tierney and Griffiths all being handed new contracts, Boyata offered but not taking one you will see his squad is far higher paid than any manager. Previous managers would have lost those players in seconds. He has been backed in my view.

He's going to say something like that if he's going to sign for them. Maybe if we showed him we actually wanted him and didn't wait until somebody else came in for him before upping our bid. He probably felt he was wanted by Villa for their first team and with Celtic he might have been another Jonny Hayes.

His whole demeanour is worrying me right now.

I have my doubts over whether he has the stomach for it. Definitely still * off after the summer.

  12. Ok for arguments sake lets say he isn't being backed. Are you confident he would be able to bring in great replacements for the players we have lost if we signed who he picked out and wanted? I think we have made only a few good signings that can be considered rodgers own doing, the vast majority have been duds.

  13. Any chance we can bring back Ronny as a scout.....? :fear:

I really hope i'm wrong, but he has the look of a man who dosen't want to be here anymore.

  15. Unironically think Ronny would be a good scout. Bought a lot of duds here but defos had an eye for a younger player with signing Ajer and giving Tierney his chance.

Yeah because conceding only 5 at home and being pumped by 7 away is okay.

Armstrong came in under him, Paddy Roberrts came in, Boyata came in and Gordon.
