  1. This isn't an overreaction to that 1st half..win or lose tonight it still stands...but..

He needs to open his eyes. This team has gone stale and we are in desperate need of some freshness quick. Defence is nowhere near good enough and he can't honestly believe it is.

Even then...in the final third we have become so so predictable. Really starting to bewilder me...we need to be far more proactive. The 'we tried, every player we wanted was wanting too much money' isnt going to wash this time. It didnt the last two windows.

Do something about it. 23 days into the window.

  2. The team has indeed went stale, and in terms of the level of our performances we’ve regressed since last season at an alarming rate.

Everything is so slow. The defence just looks like conceding 9 games out of 10, even in the league. Boyata and Lustig in particular always have a howler in them. The latter being absolutely done.

Rodgers is * me off this season. Constantly rotating the front line. Didn’t sort out the centre half position in summer. We clearly need a better goalkeeper than Gordon. Ntcham should have started more games than he has. Kouassi is seen once in a blue moon.

  3. Defence is a big worry.

Lustig can't be relied on anymore I don't think. Boyata never has been able to, bar a 3 month spell last season.

    Massive 8 days ahead.

  4. Deserve great credit for the way he changed the game..

We treated the first half like the a training session.

BR: “It was a very good win for us. I thought we played well overall in the game.”

BR: “On the back of a good performance at the weekend, I thought we looked sharp and bright tonight. Of course there were some moments on the pitch which were difficult when we misplaced our passes.“

BR: “Overall I was very pleased with the intensity of the game and I thought some of our football was exceptional. It was a very pleasing win.”

BR on @Leighgriff09: “I thought he came on and did great for us. You know he gives you a threat in front of goal and that’s what you want your substitutes to do

  5. In a way I get this but in another way you could take that statement differently. It might be me overthinking but it's like he doesn't want LG to get too carried away with himself. He seems to * him with faint praise. He came on and helped to change the game and we got the win but why wasn't he on to start with?

  6. Must have really * you off when we qualified for the CL, remained in Europe after Christmas, won the League Cup and extended last season's unveaten run for a significant amount of time.

  7. He definitely got into them at half time as expected. Could see the difference it made, night and day performance wise.

  8. This is the typical petulant attitude you get from Celtic supporters these days.

Absolutely spoiled rotten. Remember who it is you're speaking of here!

  9. Nah. I mentioned the stuff that has * me off.

  10. You sound like a spoiled brat.

  11. I know where you're coming from Jeannie. However he is just back from an injury as well so that should be remembered.

Hoping he starts at the weekend.

  12. :50:

I'm not the only one sharing that sentiment, though.

  13. He knows that we underperformed and we look vulnerable and he'll let the players know. It's just rhetoric so the media can't use anything against him. If he actually described what he thought of our performance I'm sure it would all be taken out of context. We were * in the first half and Thistle were the better team.

  14. See above.

  15. I know where Sean is coming from.

However the word for me is more frustration than being '* off' at him as such. After all he has done that would be difficult.

It's been a frustrating season throughout with injuries especially and we haven't had our full strength XI out at many times at all when you think about it. My main gripe is with transfers. He mentioned a 'revolving door' and it's hardly been like that, yet anyway. And I suppose it isn't all down to him.

I just hope his ' we are working on quality' comments come to fruition this time and we find more consistency in terms of performance.

What I will say about Kouassi though, I really don't understand why he isn't getting more game time. Brown shouldn't be playing as many games..for instance I don't see why he started against Brechin. That's the perfect opportunity for Eboue to start. That has been annoying.

  16. Aye frustrating is a better way to put it.

Look I obviously recognise how lucky we are to have Rodgers. But this season, there's been a number of times where he's just frustrated me with team selections/set up in Europe/this transfer window etc.

Anyway, hopefully we get some business done in the next week.

  17. What's hard to understand about it?

He's 19/20 years old and hasn't even played 20 games in his professional career.

He's being eased in to the side, and quite rightfully considering there are 5-6 players ahead of him in the pecking order for midfield.

    Relax ffs...
