Agree with every word. Also sick and tired of the negative postmortems. We got beat by a far superior side that will likely go on and win it. Totally slating our players isn't good when a. they are at least 3 levels down from PSG and b. we have a cup final coming up! Leave the SMSM to ramp up the negative crap and get on with backing the team. All of us to a man know what the team needs and even then it will take some going to beat a team like that. Brendan will in the long run make us more competitive but seriously.......do we really expect us to have improved our level that much in such a short space of time? People really need to stop greetin and moaning and entertain a little positivity. Back the team because it's as a team we win or lose.......stop singling folk out it's not fair! You can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear and Brendan will know what's required. He's not daft and these defeats will be hurting him too!

Yes. Still, I do think we should have different playing styles, just like a team has 3 kits. We basically play the same way against European giants, as we do in Scotland. That just doesn't make sense.

Spot on. Not one central defender is good enough. Was pretty obvious for some time as well. We either bring one on through the ranks or splash out.

Last night hurt me as much as anyone but some need to look at the bigger picture here. Yes we have been humped by one of (if not thee) best football team(s) on the planet today. On the other hand how many years ago was it since Legia Warsaw tore us apart. Brendan isn't going to be given the money to replace the entire team or entire defence in one window. We have progress piece by piece.

Already Brendan has brought dramatic improvement both domestically and in Europe. Beating anderlecht 3-0 away can be considered night and day when comparing it to losing to malmo, struggling against quarabag and shakter karagandy.

7-1 is horrible but once Brendan gets his own defenders in we will go up another level. He has already brought incredible improvement. Stopping a £400M strike force with a defence built by Ronny Fella would be on par with the works of Jesus.

He has already talked of improving the defence. Let's see how we look a year from now

Say we did park the bus.......IMO we could still get hammered and probably by more.

Silly mistakes embarrassed us really and could'e made them work harder for it...but all this park the bus is just nonsense as a drubbing would still be on the cards.
We also played no too bad in the first 10-15. Had our chances but decision making was poor.
Can't just blame defence last night as offensive decision making was rank at times.

There are no centre halves in the ranks, being Scottish doesn't instantly make you a better player despite what you may think.

Jozo is more than good enough, when fit and in form.

Not sure what else he could have done, with the personnel available this was our best chance of getting a victory. Our best defenders and ball players were all playing. We played a system that became a 5-4-1 from a 3-4-2-1. Possibly his substitutions can be questioned. McGregor and Rogic were so disappointing last night and should have been replaced with Sinclair and Paddy imo.. But would have it if changed much probably not!

The truth is we made mistakes and were punished and some of the goals were just sheer class.

Should have strengthened at CB no doubt that can't be denied.. and Gordon can't play BRs game so these two issues need addressing.

    We move on!

I don't think we can say Jozo is good enough tbh as he hasn't played enough since he's been here. He has the potential to be good enough would be a better way of putting it imo.

Jozo has played in 62 games since he’s been at Celtic mate, how long do you want to form an opinion?

Parking the bus won't work it's ok for United to do it when you have Matic, Bailly, Smalling and De Gea in goal we don't have the quality to hold world class players out for 90 minutes.

How? we still operate in the same markets , the only thing to change in their market is inflation due to EPL money.

We should be as competitive as any other time we've been in this competition , we're being sold short here , no excuses.

Not a lot of games in 2.5 years tbh.. he's signed a new 4yr deal so BR obviously rates him. I just think he is prone to lapses of concentration at times and gets an easier time than the rest of the CBs..

The issue is no consistency in partnership at CB and it's an area we need real investment. He has the potential to be quality if he stays fit. Potential being the word.

Edit: May not be accurate but according to his Wiki Jozo has only played 41times for us, if you look at KT during a similar timeframe it says it all and both have had injuries. BR had criticised Jozo publicly on his availability.

200m for one player shows how the market has changed drastically. The Gap between clubs like PSG, City etc... and ourselves and clubs like Ajax etc is only widening..

Thing is, Rodgers is an attack minded coach so I'm unsure if him getting his own defenders in will change things.

On the whole, wherever he's been, his best work has been in midfield/up top with developing players.

The defensive problem was evident last season. It should have been looked at last January never mind this one. Many of us said the same.

No oil money is to blame. Not epl money. In fact we done very well against epl money, and thats oil doped epl money.

When a country funded club spending 800m and 400 of that in 1 season is not a bigger gap then your deluded.

400m in 1 season. Thats not including january. Man utd, real madrid, 2 of the richest clubs through own means can barely afford that over 4 seasons.

We competed rather well against the normal world top team bayern, sure we lost, but we competed.

I really wish Brendan would hammer it home to the players about the importance of not giving the ball away cheaply, there's no excuse for not being able to play a simple pass to a team mate.
