Fair to say it's been a long time since we fans have been this excited about a forth coming season! Hopefully a successful and exciting period ahead!!

 

Superb appointment, hats off to the board on this one.
Atlast a bit of ambition shown, cannae wait for the new season to start now, hopefully winning while playing some entertaining football.

Get ready for some seriously good football , Brendo knows how to play in a style we love.

 

If Steve Clarke is the man to come in as Brendan's assistant I'll be over the moon, personally. He's a good defensive coach by all accounts, and has good experience as a No. 1himself.

Beyond that, I'm really excited to see who leaves the club in the coming months and who we can bring in. We don't need a huge overhaul this season, but we need to trim the squad right down and bring in 2 or 3 quality players in key areas.

I'm also really intruiged to see how he plays. He had a set style at Swansea, but tended to change things at Liverpool to get the best out of his group. We saw 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, 4-4-2 diamond, 3-4-3 etc.

Just can't wait for him to get started.

 

Really happy with this appointment. Was afraid of Lennon returning or Roy Keane getting the gig.

Hope we see some attractive football and that Celtic will do better in Europe than in previous years.

 

Tough decisions will have to be made to free up spaces though. I can see a few contentious transfers out being a necessity in order to get the squad numbers down. Commons, Rogic, Allan, Izzy, Biton, Stefan, Efe, CKR, Cole, Hendo (another loan deal), Stokes are the ones I see going out.

ps. When's the banner at the top getting changed from Ronny to Brendan?

 

Surely after that season Rogic had he'd be staying. He scored som goals from the bench and a few very important ones also.

I'm not saying I'd get rid of him but I have a suspicion Rodgers might. Especially considering he's not signed an extension to his contract.

 

The time has come to be ruthless with the squad.

We have too many players not getting enough games to get a run of form together. It's harmful in terms of players individual development, harmful in the development of a settled team and harmful in terms of the morale.

We have numbers, but we need quality. The tough part for Brendan will be assessing who his big players will be, who he needs to let go and where he needs to strengthen. He doesn't have much time to do it, either.

 

Great isn't it!? It feels so good to still be May and we are able to focus on next season with positivity. Would have been torture otherwise

 

There are far too many midfielders and not enough good strikers to partner Griffiths. The time has come to be ruthless indeed.
