    Sinn Fein MLA Oliver McMullan has congratulated Carnlough man Brendan Rodgers on being appointed as manager of Celtic Football Club.

    The East Antrim MLA said;

    "I congratulate Carnlough man Brendan Rodgers on his appointment as the new Celtic manager.

    "I was at school with his late father and know the family well. I know that everybody in Carnlough is immensely proud of Brendan and his sporting achievements.

    "He has had a high profile career to date managing top flight clubs and there will be significant interest locally as he takes charge of Celtic.

    "Brendan is a great ambassador for Carnlough and I will be keeping a keen eye on his career and wish him every success in the future."

    Just thinking, derk was on a reported 24k. Cole 8-10k a week.
    That's 34k a week, debatable that that could be not far off brendans wage.. Maybe (out with some signing on fees from dermot) this isn't actually taking that big a hit out of our budget. Give the man the keys to the volt!
