Except Rodgers is on a rolling contract AND is being backed :50:

Can't believe I wanted Moyes before Brendan...

We're a domestic juggernaut, beating all our potential challengers..

And we're in the CL, lost heavily to the best team in the world and will probably lose heavily to Man City but what great experience for our young squad..

DM issues will be addressed I'm sure..

You wanted Moyes before Rodgers?! That is mental, mate. :smiley-laughing002:

Not that I'm in any position to talk, mind you. I thought Griffiths was *, suspected we'd bought a dud in Van Dijk after his first game and was that convinced we were in for a fantastic year last season that I metaphorically had my ticket on the Ronny bus signed, framed and on my mantelpiece in May of 2015, etc...

I'm currently in the process of mentally writing off DDV. Hopefully I'm as wrong about that.

I know.. I just thought Moyes would make us hard to beat in Europe and domestically we'd be fine.. But the brand of football Brendan has brought is intricate and devastating in the final third, I'll take that exciting attacking football any day..

    It's the Celtic way..

DDV hasn't settled well, but it's an unique kind of GK style and concentration that's required as a Celtic keeper.. Hopefully he can learn that sometimes you'll have 80mins of doing nothing domestically..

What worries me most is that Minty posted a YouTube video of his best saves and there were only a handful of really good saves in it. They were mostly Hollywood saves IMO. Even the few genuinely great saves, I didn't see a single save Gordon couldn't make TBH.

Unlike most on here, I actually have seen something interesting with his use of the ball. I think if we keep playing him, he will be pretty special in that regard once he is fully fit and it will really help us keep pressure on teams domestically.

In Europe I want a shot stopper, but perhaps I'm just being greedy. I do trust Rodgers and Davies, I think they are fantastic; I just can't help remembering that the best Celtic manager in my lifetime signed and played Rab Douglas.

I remember watching Rab warming up in Seville and nothing was sticking to him and I knew we were in trouble then.. MON had a real blind spot when it came to keepers, he should have re-signed Shay Given..

Anyway I wanted Gordon in the Nou Camp too think he may have had a chance with a couple of the goals. However is form has been poor too.

I know footballing purists like Brendan would rather have a keeper who can play the ball so we need to be patient and give him a chance to implement that ethos..

When you think about it, doesn't come much tougher than a Derby and Barca away to start your Celtic career..

He's just laying the groundwork for going into full-on WUM mode.

I was staggered at the amount of people on here who wanted Moyes. He's * :smiley-laughing002: one of the most overrated managers in the UK imo.

I didn't think we'd actually get Brendan cause he was too far 'out of our league'.

Glad to see he's not happy with that, far from it. Good stuff.
