    The Final Result

    Thanks to all of you for your participation. I appreciate the kind words but it's you guys with your prompt submissions and timely votes that keep it going smoothly.

    Now, onto the important stuff. What a finale that was, the band on top couldn't settle at all as the votes flew in and the lead chopped and changed. But I can finally reveal the final score and it is commiserations to, and a big hand to our runner up....

    @Tim-Time 1888 and AC/DC, one of my favourite bands who rocked the socks off the tournament but were pipped at the last.

    And with a winning scoreline of

    REM 36 - 29 AC/DC

    I crown the winner of Battle of the Bands: Longevity Edition, to the debutant nonetheless, @Forestbhoy66 with REM. Congratulations mate, and spectacularly played in your maiden outing in BOTB. Given the songs that didn't even need to be used, this goes to show the strength of REM as a group. Very well played and congratulations again.

    Well done REM @Forestbhoy66 was always going to be tough to beat them and they provided one of my favourite ever Gigs at Loch Lomond, so I can't be disappointed here :50:
