You're saying that as if it's some 17 year old we've never seen play before.

Zaluska barely put a foot wrong in his short spell in the team.

Do you think it's right that he's clearly overweight?? He can't care about the club that much if he's overweight and not trying to rectify it.

A fully fit and on form Artur Boruc is in a totally different class to Lukasz Zaluska. Unfortunately Artur is neither in peak physical condition or on top form at the moment. In fact, Artur's performance levels have dropped to such an extent now that you could make a reasonable case for Zaluska being given a run in the team. Perhaps having to spend a few weeks sitting on the bench might provoke Artur into getting himself back into peak physical condition again and in turn help him to rediscover his best form.

It's hard for me to say these things because Artur is my favourite ever Celtic player but he is definitely not the goalkeeper he used to be. The ability is obviously still there but he needs to work on his fitness imo.

you are not paying attention as to our choice of the 3 keepers we have now. There is a goalkeeper coach there, in lenoxtown, unless you know more about who is the better for a fact, you are under minding his ability, as to who should be playing as i am sure the questions must be asked, which of the three has done the training required this week and who is the man

No a keeper is there to stop the ball going in when the defenders * up if the keeper cant save it because the strike is too good fair enough but there have been a good few times when he could have saved a few goals and didn't.

You are basically just saying get better players so that artur dosen't get shown up THAT IS STUPID.

    BTW.... It's artur not arthur

Butch, I read through your posts about Artur Boruc and the points you make are crazy.

Basically your saying, if we had a better team to stop Artur having to make saves (some of them very simple) then he wouldn't get shown up as much. Goalkeepers are their when the defence * up, if it's a good finish then fair enough but Artur should have bailed our defence out on more than one occasion this season. The goalkeeper he used to be would have and I'll go as far as saying Zaluska would have made some of they saves. There's no doubt with a better defence Boruc would look better but world class goalkeepers can win games on their own even when their team is under-performing.

I'm not sayign Artur should be making game winning saves every game but his shot stopping recently has been very poor. Along with his positioning, physical shape, etc.

no, as all the best goalies play for the best teams, and they are never questioned to the * ups, as when they are top of there league every thing is rosy. we are 10 points behind and a few have put there necks on the line as did big bad john and you don't like to feel inapt, but you cant come up with a better answer than its Arthur fault. if only he could have done this never for one minute say if aiden pulled the finger out and skipy and sammy we would be so far in front it was not the top teams that * us remember it was the we guys that waltz there way by defenders as if they where not there if they couldent stop them why blame arthur, oh cos hes the fat guy, forgot in your eyes get real, and get the monkey of yer back and support arthur to the full

There has been loads of threads on these guys. So how come they are allowed to be pulled up for bad form and ARTUR isn't.

For the umpteenth time no one is saying it's all his fault we're behind just that if he hadn't made so many * ups or we had a more confident keeper in goals then the defence would be more confident.

You have that back to front aswell it's the defence that takes confidence from a keeper not the other way around.

    Just give it up mate.

    And AGAIN IT'S ARUTR

:shamrock:ARTUR IS STILL ONE OF THE BEST KEEPERS AROUND,YOU COULD PUT THE BEST KEEPER IN THE WORLD(WHOEVER THAT MAYBE) AND WE WOULD STILL CONCEDE STUPID GOALS, NEED TO GET THE DEFENCE SORTED OUT BEFORE WE START BLAMING ANY OF OUR KEEPERS:shamrock:

    Could be but isn't.

You could argue he isn't even the best in the SPL mate.

for sure he isnt the same keeper of years gone by. the best way of bringing him back to that form would be to put him on the bench and make him work for a starting spot.

this would also give us a chance to see Zaluska in action a bit more. (from the few games i did see him play in he seemed pretty good)

an on form boruc is as good as the very best. but he isne that at the moment

I think its time Artur and Aiden were dropped for a couple of weeks , Both are good players but of late they have both been poor , Time for a kick up the * for both of them .

Watch Boruc's absymal positioning for the first goal against Dunfermline.
It is all wrong for a professional goalkeeper in my opinion, and it left his goal horribly exposed.

I have watched it, several times. I've marked where I believe he should have been. Inside his near post, covering that while giving himself a chance should the ball make it into the middle. I think that is taught from a young age. By standing where he is he has left himself vulnerable to a chip, left the goal totally open and there's a gap between himself and the post.

These are the sort of errors that Boruc has been consistently making for two years now. It is unacceptable in my eyes for a club of our stature, and played a large part in us surrendering the league last year, with the number of points Boruc's poor goalkeeping cost us in the campaign.

Ive been arguing this case for a while now. Zaluska is a far better goal keeper. We made back the 750,000 from Boruc... Get short of him in the summer.
