His International Career is shipwrecked which isnt going to help him in the slightest now for our run in.

I'm coming around to the idea that Glasgow is reminding him of all his problems. Selling him could be best for club and player.

I'm leaning the same way tbh. But how much (how little) would we get for him now ? Which is a bit of a sickener given how much he was worth a year ago.

We should stick by him. Fresh start next year, the summer break might be brilliant for him. Let him get time off to relax, get back in shape in pre-season and start again.

I'd be delighted if it panned out that way. It would be great to have a world class keeper back between the sticks. I just can't see it though.

I think he has the personality to get over this. Furthermore this thing with Poland will hopefully be the catalyst to hit home in his head that he needs to get himself sorted out.

Whatever happens this season I would like to see him stay. A break over the summer (no big tournament this time round remember) can maybe help.

Actually, why blame Boruc? Lets blame the ex wife!

Are we actually surprised that a women has thrown a monkey wrench into the works??

I propose that we petition the Celtic Board, Lawwell & Strachan with...

and get these rules imposed at the club. Women * up everything!!! :56:

I cant see that happening with his level of professionalism.

By contrast see how a player with high professionalism deals with traumatic experiences. e.g. Lampard playing and scoring in a UCL match just after his mother dying.

I dont think he will want to go now. He craves the attention and will not get anything like it anywhere else.

Possibly but it's all guesswork at the moment. Two things for sure:

    1) There is a world class keeper in there somewhere.
    2) His current value is pretty negligible to our bank (around £2-3 mill no?)

This is why I think we need to give him the summer to recuperate.

Potential Balde scenario if he doesnt get himself together after the summer holidays

Assuming we kept him this summer - two possibilities:

    1) He gets back to his best - all good
    2) He stays dodgy - relegated to the bench - not too shabby backup for a league campaign on 4 fronts... Bearing in mind he will be eager to fight for a place at the 2010 WC rather than rot (a lá Balde). I can't see him settling for reserve football, this is Boruc we're talking about.

Goalkeepers tend to be that bit more eccentric than other players which can act in their favour and has done with Boruc in previous seasons.

But this season his personal life is impacting on his professional life way too much and I really don't know if he has what it takes to get through this. I hope he does, but I'm not sure.

Give him a few weeks of complete rest let him get his head sorted and see what he's like when he turns up for pre-season training as has been stated above there is a great goalkeeper in there somewhere, we just need to hope he re-appears.

(PS Dempsey I won't take offence to your anti-woman stance :86:)

The guy deserves time, he's been fine over recent weeks and is getting back to what we know him to be like. He had a bad game in a stadium where everyone was baying for his blood, could have happened to anyone just more noticable cause he's a keeper. Back to business on saturday like anyone havin a bad day at the office.

This is not another dip in form, just a bad game!

IF he gets worse, who would be willing to take a chance on him, would he take a pay cut to leave? Would someone offer him his current wages? I'd be doubtful

Face it, women are the cause of all mens problems :icon_mrgreen:

Just saying, for a potentially world-class keeper I'm prepared to take the gamble. Worst that can happen is we get the best back-up keeper in the country :50:

But you couldn't live without us, we're just too much fun :86:

Re Boruc, I'd love it if he got over his off field problems (as would every other Celtic fan) but I just don't know if he can, the remaining games this season should start to provide answers.

I like the guy too much, and (unjustifiably) want him to stay with Celtic for the rest of his career.

If we have the league before the season is over, give him a month of absence, let him do what the * he likes, if he wants to drink excessively so be it, if he wants to sort his * out then Celtic should help him.
