Boruc or Forster?

I didn't actually notice that! I wouldn't be surprised if that was the idea though. He was phenomenal against Barcelona.

The only reasons I decided that Forster was ever so slightly better for us(not necessarily a better keeper) is that he is has worked and worked his * off to improve. I admire that. Boruc was more of a wild child and his professionalism went out the window a wee bit at the end. I think he was going through some personal issues but so was Scott Brown early in his Celtic career and although his form suffered, I guarantee he still worked hard.

Another thing was consistency, I think Forster, although not as spectacular, is a more reliable goalkeeper. Certainly on the domestic front

 

Aye, pretty much my take on this also.

 

Boruc was the more accomplished all round keeper and showed that with some of his displays at international level.

Both have the ability to put in man of the match displays at CL level and there is no doubting the quality of Forster.

What turns it round for me though is that Boruc had a pretty mince defence in front of him in comparison to other Celtic keepers. He had to manage the whole backline in front of him and yet totally dominated his box.

 

If it wasn't for Boruc's last 18 months, I think everybody would be voting for him. I still go Boruc, just think in his prime/at his peak he's easily the best Celtic goalkeeper of my life time.

 

Actaully think in his last year Boruc screwed the nut a bit, who could forgot that save against Hibs? One of the only bright points in Mowbray's bleak tenure.

 

He was still never the imposing figure he was pre Euro 2008

 

Didn't do too badly in the shoot out with Spartak either to put us into the group stages

 

Never mind Boruc or Forster, I would choose Packie Bonner over Forster.

Boruc was a keeper full of errors who had a stand out year and a half! Forster for me has been our best keeper of all time.

 

So if we signed any of those keepers they'd be on the bench then? Secondary to Forster? Don't talk *.

 

So apparently Buffon and casillas are bad goalkeepers and I know nothing about football for thinking they're good..... also saying we never counted on Boruc for big performances in Europe doesn't really know anything about football, like the time we got to the last 16 with a back four of Telfer, O'Dea, McManus and Naylor.... with Sno and a very old and out of shape Lennon sitting in front of them

What does a 'mistake' entail? Forster not coming out to collect crosses, for me, is a mistake ala Shakhtar Karagandy
