Forster is easily one of the top 5 goalkeepers in the world right now.

Forget the fact he plays in Scotland, he's already done it several times in Europe against some of the biggest players and clubs in world football.

Considering how much better Celtic's outfield players are compared to when Boruc was keeper, and the level of quality we played against each week, i'd say Boruc without a shadow of a doubt. Forster is good, but you'd be stupid to say he's better than Boruc

Forster is more consistent and will still continue to improve. I loved Artur but he was prone to more errors than big Fras.

On the contrary, it is this which makes Forster the better keeper of the two. He has single handedly saved us on more occasions than I can care to count and has only had good defenders infront of him for about 18 months now. Under Strachan we won games in Europe because of the genius quality of Naka and McGeady, and goals of Skippy and Big Jan. Under Lennon we have won games in Europe purely because of Forster. It is incredibly rare to have a GK be that influential, especially at the highest level.

Plus the SPL was hardly world class when Boruc was here, there is barely any difference between the dross then and now. Oh and Boruc made far more mistakes against that dross than Forster has.

That's how I know you haven't actually thought about this argument, you're just naming cliched goal.com and football manager names.

Lloris is utter * compared to Forster, people moan about FF not coming off his line enough but the reason he doesn't is because numpties like Lloris are constantly fannying about miles off their line!
Casillas hasn't kicked a ball for about 2 years so how the * he still deserves to be mentioned among the best I don't know.

The only goalies I think you can say are definitely better than FF are Hart, Cech, Neuer and Courtois. But Forster is tested more than Neuer and is more consistent than Hart.

I don't really care what names you want, I will give you the names I choose.

Buffon, Casillas, Neuer, Cech, Lloris...........there's 5 for starters. I could go on and on..........................

    He really isn't.

    This man speaks the truth.

I think Forster has the potential to become a genuinely world class keeper in a few years.

Don't like choosing between the two but Boruc shades it just now.

I did say players that don't live on reputation and have been in the light over the last season or two ! Cassilas and Buffon are not the best keepers anymore ..

Atleast somebody read what I ment and glad you agree on keepers who haven't done much in years...

I Can't argue with cech and neuer and courtois so I would easilyl put Forster in behind them! And maybe just Infront of hart right now! So I'd say Forster is the 4th best in the world right now and I really do beleive that

    I reluctantly voted for Forster.

I think we may have had tougher opposition, both domestically and in Europe, with big Boruc while he was in his prime though.

I think Forster has more potential though. And I know that wasn't the question. But * its cutting it close.

I think people are forgetting just how good Boruc was in Europe if you think his performances hadn't won us games. His performance against Benfica is the single best performance I've ever saw off of a goalkeeper at Celtic, simalarly his performance against Man United, penalty saves and all.

It's very, very close and I can't really decide but to discount The Holy Goalies European performances is stupid.

I think the majority just pick the holy goalie because of exactly that. They enjoyed the showman side of Boruc. The blessings, the flag at ibrox, the monkey tattoo and so on..

I agree Boric was at his best in the big games. Well, one or two mistakes again the Huns aside.

His save from a Seedorf free-kick is burned into my mind.

Aye, Forster has been the same in big games as well. I can't be the only one who notice in the 6-1 game Barca were trying * hard to pass the ball around him.
