i'd rather have him to help win the £12m or whatever from champions league money and let him go for a free.

i'd get rid of him personally. I like him - good keeper and strong character but he is on 25k per week and he his contract is up and, as Lawwell has stated, he won't be getting as much money if her were to re-sign. £3millions fair for a keeper who has been average for 2 seasons now and has only 6 months until they can leave for free. It won't have much of a detrimental effect on the team - Zaluska is a good goalkeeper and, from what i've seen, Cervi looks not bad either.

If it's true, we'll have to find a very good goalie to replace him, and the market is not full of those.

Absolutely agree 200%, selling him would be a disaster, we would not find a better keeper for a while. People keep saying hes contract expired next season so lets flog him why we can, why cant we offer him a new contract?

If we can offer him a new 1 or 2 year deal then see what happens this time next year we could be talking bout 7-10 mil as he is a better keeper than gordon and he went for 9 mil. guys a legend hope this dosent happen!!

£3m is a fair price so either take that or offer a new contract.

The reason Gordon went for so much is because he is probably a comparable keeper to Boruc only he went to Sunderland at the age of 24, where as Boruc will be moving now at the age of 30 and may not have a good resale value.

30 is young in goalkeeping terms, big artur should be part of the spine of our team for the new season...........:50:

a wouldn't be happy at all if he left but it isn't as much as a disaster s it would have been a few years back when we had mark brown where as we have a reliable and i would say very good keeper zaluska to step in between the sticks.

Not arguing with that but the perceived resale value definitely goes down and explains why Gordon at 24 could fetch £9m from an over-rich EPL side.

Because he has a year left on his contract and he is a high earner Celtic would take a bid for him rather than loose him for nothing perfect example is Boyd to Middlesbrough so he could be sold but again maybe Artur wants a move himself..who knows! me personally i think we could take the money and reinvest it in the team.

The fact of the matter is that Artur does not want to be here anymore. PL said in the Q&A that he wanted to try something new. So we have to sell him now to receive some money for him

Artur used to be worth more than £3M, but his form has been erratic in
recent years and he is thirty now, so I think £3M is a realistic asking price for him.
