I am * disgusted with Celtic for selling Artur for £1.7million. We have lost a legend.

 

thats far too cheap. we always leave it too late. he,s been a good keeper for us . but if we dont watch the same will happen with mgeady. we,ve got to be realistic . we,ve got to make as much as we can and thats a * piece of financle buisness.

If he worth £4m. why didn't any club offer that?

If £1,7m. is best and/or only offer we can get, what's up to the board to do about it?

 

its not about bein a selling club. its about making money when the time is right. dont kidd yourself that players just hang around because of the jersey.look at the miller carry on . look at the bigger picture. one player does not make a team. ask w. rooney.

This is sad news to put it mildy. Not a surprise really given how celtic have been operating. Boruc's wages were no doubt much higher then Zaluska and it was either Celtic offer him a new contract or sell him now and get some money for him. I know at the end of the day this is a business. But really Boruc was for me at any rate the one true hero in our team. Not just a great keeper for us but someone who loved and gave his all for the club and built a connection with the support. Something that cannot be said IMHO about any other current Celtic player to anywhere near the same extent.
If this as it seems is true Celtic didn't just lose a top quality keeper they lost a true Celt. A very very sad day indeed if this is confirmed.

 

I will miss him but I can't blam him for wanting to ply his trade in some of Europe's better leagues

 

£1.7mil? * joke, i'd rather have him for a season then let him go for nothing!

 

nah then he'd cost us 1.5m,and we wouldnt get anything in return,so we're effectively saving 3m

He's been here for years now. Fair enough if he wants a change. I think his wages are too much for Celtic to be paying a goalkeeper imo

 

Folk are raging ..... What if it was the big man who was saying I'm offski. Great deal in those circumstances. £3m package for the club with fee n wages saved

I know he had a poor season but 1.7 mill for a keeper of his class is pathetic .

 

Artur's character will be missed, his performances the last 2 seasons certainly will not. Too many fans are still thinking we're selling the World-Class Artur Boruc, reality check - we're not, we're selling a no more than above average keeper.
