Not as if we have a record of signing trialists anyway.

Don't see him as any kind of replacememt for Izzy as he's more of a winger / attacking midfielder.

No idea how he played for Sunderland to be honest but he has had a decent career from what I can see. I'd just question why would we need him in any kind of midfield role? I mean is he better than those we already have?

I seem to be in the same opinion as most, maybe 3 year ago but not now. Would be a total waste and wouldn't be appreciated by most fans.

The way Alan Thompson was speaking it looks like its to add experience to our young team,im all for it,one thing our team is lacking in is experience and a winning mentality and Bolo has both in abundance and hopefully that can rub off on the team.

I wont mind, he is on a free and his wages wouldnt be that high, and he is a decent left winger

Sunderland fans seem to really like him, still a decent player with plenty of experience who wants to come. Worth a shot imo.

A guy that played in the EPL regularly last season is not another Ljungberg. Not that he was as bad a signing as being made out anyway.

What we see on the park is never the full picture. What did Forrest pick up from him in training? What did the entire squad gain from such a professional with vast experience?

If Zenden is fit a 6 month contract would be good for both parties provided he wasn't after big wages.

Bit of a gamble. He isnt what we need either.

Centre back (s) are a priority for us.

As a Sunderland fan who watched him week in week out I believe he would do a great job for us, age isn't too much of a problem as he wasn't blessed with pace in his younger years never mind at the age of 35, he has great experience and is very calm on the ball.

This is quality from Zenden, I hope he does this again.

What did they gain from him? Ljungberg left half a million or so richer without actually contributing to the team on the field. Him and Kapo were pretty pointless signings, waste of money.

The experience can be gained from Lennon, Mjallby and Thompson, we didn't need Ljungberg for that.

Zenden would probably be on high wages too. I'd like to see more young players like George, McGeouch etc. getting a chance rather than signing another midfielder.
