    However he turned us down in January apparently so things would have to have altered significantly since then. His time in Germany was hardly amazing, but apparently showed glimpses of old form.

    I didn't mean to suggest Celtic couldn't provide that, if anything Celtic would indeed be good for him in that regard. I just imagine he regards the Bundesliga as a league suiting his aspirations more perhaps

    He's an odd kid and has jumped around quite a bit since leaving Barcelona - not sure what he's looking for ultimately since he's not really established himself anywhere

    Personally, I think he suffers a bit from thinking he is better than he really is

    I know you didn't mate, was only adding to what you were saying.

    I'd be shocked if we signed him, still think he'd rather a better league or even a return to Spain, like you say. I also agree on the last part, but that could tie in with him never really being 'loved' at a club.

    His next move is incredibly important, at the age of 26.

    Agreed. I actually think the Celtic option is an excellent one for the player, I hope it happens. He could become loved here and perhaps even reach some heights he has yet to as a player in a greatly supported club
